Purely Joyful Movie!

A story that's too fascinating to pass by...

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

"Mama's Boy" is hilarious from the get go! We rented it, practically died laughing, then had to buy it and have watched it many times - it's one of the best comedies of the past 10 years. Everyone is great in this film - Jon Heder, Diane Keaton, Jeff Daniels, Anna Faris, Eli Wallach. It's so great to see Jeff Daniels in a comedy (besides the classic "Dumb and Dumber" & "D&D2"). The friction and competitiveness between Jon and Jeff is a riot! Their scenes are the absolute best! Jon Heder's dialogue (and word usage) is beyond hilarious! Wish Hollywood made more great movies like this! This film deserves way more than 10 stars!

This movie was a good surprise. The humor is clever although the plot is dramatic.Sure, it's not a comedy 100% but when the plot is about a 29 year old man who acts like a kid then you can't expect to to take it seriously.Anna Faris is a doll! I love her. Jon Hedder is a good actor and delivers an interesting performance. Jeff Daniels is as good as always. Diane Keaton is great also! Don't expect this one to be a feel good movie. Expect it to make you reflex about your mother and how sometimes she sacrifices her own life for yours.I won't watch it a second time because it's nothing special or anything. Deserves a chance though.

This film is about a 29-year-old man who does not want to leave his mother's side. When his mother gets herself a date, he does everything to spoil it."Mama's Boy" could have been a good film with good jokes and mischievous fights, but unfortunately it turned out rather mediocre. There is a serious lack of chemistry between the characters, which makes any of the relationships unconvincing. Jon Heder comes across as a very annoying and irresponsible person, and that kills of any of the remaining fun of the film. It is also a pity that Anna Faris is delegated to such a minor supporting role. In short, "Mama's Boy" is a below average comedy.

I thought this was an excellent movie. There is lots of potential from the big names in this film (Eli Wallach what an actor). Jeff Daniels though played his role terribly.Some say it is a bit of a copy of Failure To Launch and Mr Woodcock. Failure To Launch is a romantic comedy and Mr Woodcock is crap. This is so much better. It also seems to aimed at an older audience then just teenagers. I think for Tim Hamilton's first directing job it is excellentIts just disappointing that Warner Bros. have pushed this film out of the limelight. It is quite a good film and better then most in the "teenage" genre.8/10
