Truly Dreadful Film

Dynamixor

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

Jennifer Aniston's movie career has been a bit hit and miss at best. For every 'We're The Millers' there is a 'The Switch'. So with side of the line will this movie fall.Plot in A Paragraph: Mike Flux (Steve Zahn) works at his parents' motel as the night manager. One day he sees Sue (Jennifer Aniston) who is staying at the motel for the weekend, and instantly develops a crush on her. (It's Jennifer Aniston after all)I'll admit from the off, that I am bias. I love Jennifer Aniston. With her gorgeous girl next door looks, I adore her, and will usually give anything she is in a chance. However, one of my main problems with the movie is Aniston, who seems to have had some Botox (or other work) prior to this movie and she is not the normal natural beauty that I like so much. Her performance is off, and she doesn't seen to be having a lot of fun here. None of the main characters in the movie are actually that likable. Zahns character (the guy we are meant to root for) comes off as annoying and a borderline stalker. Whilst Aniston's character is plain unlikeable, (despite helping homeless people) it makes it hard to understand why Zahn is so obsessed with her.Ridiculously predictable, the movie could possibly the worst of Aniston's post 'Friends' career, if 'The Switch' were not so bad.

People are just not giving this movie credit where credit is due! Anniston helped produce this movie. Im a guy and I have to say this is a top 3 romantic movie of all time. Watch the whole movie from beginning to end. Excellent and creative way how true love works. He seems stalkerish and creepy at first but his intentions were innocent. It had a "Gilbert Grape" type of feel to the movie. I would say that if Mike (main character) didn't have his un orthodox view of life then anyone else in his position would of given up on chasing after the love of their dreams. Give this movie a chance. The movie definitely takes its time to progress but thats how they keep you intrigued. I would def recommend this to anyone who believes love is not out there, or to those that feverishly ignore the hints of love hitting you in the face!

First off I want to say. The expectations of this film were low for me. I really thought this one would suck. The title alone sounds minimal. But i finally saw this movie today....my day off. Wow!! This movie was actually really cute. I was invested in the Mike character very much so. I felt his desperate need to show love towards Sue. Jennifer Aniston is much more of a personality than an actress but she did pull it together for this film. I felt her pushing away from him which the character was. Then when they finally ended up together I actually gave a.......crap...I did really. This movie is not your Summer Blockbuster but your favorite, lonely, single, night to stay in and drink wine and watch a cute independent film with a cute message movie. I found it creepy of mike at first but then it was just endearing. Also the scene in which he tells her to get out of his basement. I did not expect that. I loved it. Check it out. Not cause you're an Aniston fan or even a Steve Zahn fan but because you like odd love stories that are not the cliché. Or at least cause you're high or bored. Just check it out. I'm sure you will like it.p.s. Jen Aniston should do more of these

I borrowed this DVD from the store to watch with my friend. We thought it would be a nice romantic comedy, just a simple Saturday night film. It was impossible to watch! I had never ever started watching a film that was so boring and predictable that I had to turn it off half way through... It started off with your usual boy meets girl story. And that was it. No interesting twists, no LOL moments (it was supposed to be a comedy as well). It just a boring film that I do not recommend to anyone... Jennifer Aniston did the best performance she could with the material that she had but there is just nothing else I can say that is positive about this film.
