To me, this movie is perfection.

If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

while watching movies, sometimes people cry when they have seen something relate to them is suffering or being misjudged. well, here is a surprise for all of you whoever think in that way. here you will meet a murderer waiting for execution and a sweet suicidal girl who will give you 2 magnificent hour. even if you think this two character is not relate to you, if you have a good heart, take some tissue paper with you while watching. here you may not cry for any death. you may cry at love, happiness. this movie worth that some tear drops which you may going to lose.

Definitely a 10/10.I do not write many reviews but there are not many reviews for this awesome movie. Maundy Thursday is a religious term, and this movie touches on some religious context.(Note:Do NOT avoid watching this movie just because you may despise religion, it is still a great movie and it does not contain too much religious aspects anyway). The movie literally translates to "Our Happy Time" and the title really gives meaning to the movie. This movie is a total tearjerker and one of the biggest tearjerkers I have ever seen. The cast was awesome all around. The two main actors both portray their characters very nicely and did an awesome job. The director did an amazing job as well with the camera angles; It made a huge impact. The soundtrack was perfect as well which I consider one of the most important aspects of a movie. This movie is the romantic relationship between two people who meet together in a rather odd way which leads to a very melodramatic storyline. This movie was not too melodramatic but just enough that it was just spot on. The buildup of the movie is great as well.Highly recommended.

Well. "Maundy", look that up and you see it's a reference to the feast or holy day on the Thursday before Easter that commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. A Christian tale of two persons, a suicidal mid-20's upper-middle class woman with a hate-on for her diva mother, an aunt who's a Sister and a prison inmate hoping to die. The aunt arranges for the two to "just talk", and slowly they do, on Thursdays, and their stories unfold. In modern Korean fashion the film has the top quality photo compositions, moody music and clever camera-work. Shocking red violence startles the viewer and the rigours of what passes for the modern Korean social welfare state are typified. Seeming slightly off is the depiction of the jail, the nicest CO's and happiest cons you'll ever see doing time. All in all, a straightforward message movie, well played.

It is a rare film that teaches about the importance of forgiveness without being preachy. Yet this film manages to do just that. Perhaps it is because the film doesn't actually teach forgiveness, but rather shows what the character in question actually lived through and left the audience to decide for themselves which side of the fence they would fall on.And so kudos have to go to the actors for such an able portrayal of what their characters lived through and are living through in the film. Credit goes most especially to the actress (Lee Na-Young) who did a fine job of showing how her character journeyed to be able to reach the kind of person she becomes at the end of the film; the male lead was quite good himself.Good acting, well articulated plot, music was good - overall: recommended.
