So much average

If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

this is the sort of movie that parents would make to stop their kids taking drugs. the sad thing is that the acting isn't bad, and the filming is OK but seriously? who the hell learns how to mix in a couple of weeks? and what sort of DJ, not only once but twice, plays ONE track and then walks off the decks? A s**t one. i have a lot of DJ friends and i am heavily involved in dance music and i frankly found this movie insulting to it. the only redeeming points of the movie was the bit of drama going on with the main characters until it became completely outlandish and myself and my boyfriend sat there laughing as one of the main characters died. i have a feeling that laughs were not the desired reaction. don't bother.

One Perfect Day is about a small group of young people whose lives all meet within the art of sounds and visions. As an old disco-holic that stopped looking for driving dance beats after the dullards killed disco in the late 70s I fell out of the music scene and traded my cars woofers, midranges, and tweeters for a minivan and bringing up kids. I caught up just recently with trance and dance music and fell in love all over again. Swing, big band, disco, dance, trance. Other music is nice, but… Back to the movie. Lives are made and lost as drugs and bad decisions from immature people mix in a deadly cocktail that devastates the characters on the dance club scene. In the end, what's left of the good guys win and bring some wonderful sensory sugar to everyone. The casting was excellent as was the sound track, plot, dialog, and cinematography. This goes to show you that excellent movies and excellent actors aren't necessarily made in Hollywood USA. Bravo!!

I saw this movie at the Tribeca Film Festival and it was amazing!!! Everyone gave a standing ovation to OPD. I cant wait till it releases over here in the US so I can see it again. The acting was incredible. OPD will surely make you laugh and cry hysterically. 3 THUMBS UP!!! OPD will make you think twice about taking drugs. Excellent one of the best foreign movies I ever seen! The music is phenomenal!! I cant wait till it comes out over here in the US so people would take out sometime out of their lives to see such an amazing movie worth watching and worth the money! I think if it is released over here soon I think a lot of people will be touched by this movie and Think Twice! WAY TO GO OPD!!!

This movie has the best soundtrack! I watched it at the Tribeca Film Festival exactly one year ago in April 2004, and it still hasn't been released in the US as far as I know. And I still haven't seen any news of the soundtrack being released either. I hate how it isn't easier to see foreign films sometimes. Even in NYC. If this film does ever make it out, I think most people will really enjoy it. Not only is the music and story outstanding, but the message is a good one. I don't think this film has been extremely well received in Australia where it is from, but the US would eat it up. Great work on combining good music, good cinematography, and a good story!
