Mickey goes into a souvenir shop out west and leaves Pluto with a buffalo bone to chew on. A small dog comes to take it away and runs into a ring of cactus with it; Pluto is too big to enter the same way, so he comes in from above and finds himself stuck inside until the small dog helps.

One of my all time favorites.

FrogGlace

In other words, this film is a surreal ride.

Quiet Muffin

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

This one is a little much on the adorable side. Mickey feeds Pluto a buffalo bone, but after snacking on it for a few seconds, a small dog steals it away from Pluto. The small dog is cute and all, but his greedy instincts is a bit of a turn off. After a few chases with Pluto, the dog retreats into a cactus field with the bone. Pluto lands on the field from a cliff, retrieves the bone, but then has trouble getting out of the thorny trees. But, it's the small dog to the rescue to get Pluto out of his predicament. So, the one responsible for getting Pluto into the mess in the first place is the same one getting him out.Aside from the cuteness factor, I didn't find this cartoon very funny or entertaining.Grade D

Disney has been and always will be close to my heart. Pueblo Pluto is one of those Disney shorts that is nice, but there is not much that is exceptional about it. It is lacking in laughs, essentially it's an example of a short that is more cute than it is funny, and the story, while not exactly dull, is very routine and rather thinly structured. Mickey is disappointingly bland, after seeing him being characterised so splendidly in many of the shorts from the 30s it is a shame to see him have so little to do. Here only his closing line raises a smile. Pueblo Pluto is beautifully animated though, the backgrounds are really colourful and have a lot of fluidity. The music is equally wonderful, brimming with vibrant energy. Pluto and the little dog are very likable characters and their interplay is very cute and has some amusement at least.Overall, a nice short but not all that much to it at the end of the day. 6/10 Bethany Cox

I've never been a huge fan of cartoon characters that don't talk. I've never really cared for Tom & Jerry or The Road Runner/Coyote cartoons (which may be blasphemous for an animation fan to say!) So I'm not really a huge fan of Pluto either. This cartoon is cute, and there are some great mannerisms in Pluto and the small dog, but it's still not my favorite. I think my favorite part of the cartoon would have to be Mickey's last line. It made me smile! My IMDB Rating: 6/10By the way, even though Pluto isn't my favorite character to watch in cartoons, he's probably the best character in the Disney theme parks. Take a picture with him. It's fun!!

This is an average short, nothing special, but Tucson AZ is often referred to as The Old Pueblo, so I have a soft spot, likely one in my head, for this short. Not terribly novel or creative, with some amusing moments. Excellent cactus work though. Worth watching.
