just watch it!

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

Very few movies are done as well as Shadow People! Great story, and the fact that it is believable instills fear. The story moves along at a good pace. You MUST watch this flick through the first set of credits in order to get the last jolt! I have friends who refuse to watch this movie due to fear of the dark! I loved it, and my skin crawls with just the thought of it! Great job & thank you!

When people who make movies go out of their way to tell the audience that their movie is based on actual events, they set themselves up for criticism from people who want historical accuracy. "Shadow People" is another movie that unnecessarily chooses to go that route. This movie was plenty scary, and could easily have stood on its own merits without having to play the "based on a true story" card. I am reminded of two other movies that did this: The Fourth Kind, and Phantom. Both went out of their way to tell the audience that their stories came from factual history, and both received a hefty backlash of negative reviews from audience members calling the movie makers out on their claims. Any of these movies would have been better if presented purely as fictional entertainment.If you can put aside this aspect of "Shadow People", you will be in for a decent flick, both chilling and eerie.

Shadow People is the most terrifying film I have ever seen in my life. It is the most creepy, compelling and mind bending film I have ever seen in my life. Better than Paranormal Activity, The Conjuring, Sinister, Insidious and Dark Skies!!!Not only was it scary, it was incredibly well made. Normally what would have happened is a brilliant script was ruined by Hollywood stars and a high budget. But this wasn't an all star cast nor was it a high budget movie. It was made for one reason and one reason only; to scare the crap out of you. AND IT WORKED!Also; like many films it is based on a true story. Based is a loose word when it comes to movies. But this one really is real. The video talked about on YouTube IS actually there. I have not been able to watch it after seeing this movie nor have I been able to sleep in the dark or look at my shadow.It was genuinely terrifying. I was literally left shaking, sweating and crapping myself. It was utterly brilliant. All of you must watch this movie!!!To add to the scary element of the film; before watching look into REM and sleep paralysis. This is a terror guarantee.

Ignoring the crappy special effects for the "shadows" themselves or the overused "jump scares" (which got old after the first two jumps), they actually end up explaining the whole shadow people bit scientifically.Well that was frackin fun.Sitting through an hour to realize that the whole movie is based on boring real life disease. There is no horror in whole movie, instead we get a weird fake documentary mix that just makes you wanna punch the director in the mouth.4/10 (Four cause the premise would've worked well in a good horror movie)
