Lack of good storyline.

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.

Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

This film is undoubtedly the least impressive of the Shrek franchise. It commits a sin that even the trashiest pieces of garbage shouldn't ever commit: its very boring. The film lacks heart, wit, originality, ingenuity, inventiveness, intelligence and basically anthing else you might expect in, oh say, a film. Shrek has overstayed his welcome and the plot is very disengaging. There's almost no point prasing the animation because its something that should be a given for Hollywood animation. In this, Shrek is reduced to a one dimensional character and donkey inevitably becomes annoying and pointless. This film should not have been made. But it was, which takes both guts and sheer idiocy

This movie is a disgrace to the shrek franchise, and should just be forgotten about. If you see this movie, I garuntee you will want to move to Zimbabwe and start a new life because your old one was ruined from that movie.

The smartest thing about this third entry is actually its contextual pun of a title, which represents perhaps the only thing this poorly paced piece has to offer that's even remotely equal to either of its predecessors. 'Shrek The Third (2007)' is certainly a large step down, a pandering piece almost purposely lacking any of the subtlety, wit and slyly adult humour so prevalent in the franchise, but that's not to say that it doesn't have its occasional moments or that the characters aren't as likeable and well-performed as ever, it's just that it all feels slightly stale. 5/10

The story of Shrek the Third (2007) is not quite as good as the first or second films but the comical lines and visual comedy is still right up there with the first two movies. Some of the new characters are not quite as enduring and memorable in Shrek 3 but they are quite likable and entertaining. The animation in this 3rd installment of the film series is still awesome. All I can really say is I enjoyed this 3rd film. And I do recommend it if you enjoyed Shrek and Shrek 2.8.5/10
