Good start, but then it gets ruined

It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

Nothing like a kid day dreaming. It's what we all did. Every single one of us. When I was young I would stare out the window and dream about everything under the sun. If this were my true story I would have it be anyone but Chuck Norris. The guy had his day but not anymore. Can the guy even kick high anymore? I'll give him one thing though. Even though he's played a tough guy for all those years at least we wasn't too cool to be in this kid flick. I remember when we was in an old Bruce Lee film. After that he did nothing but cool guy tough guy roles where he had a bunch of fight scenes in every movie so he could show of his skills. The movie its self wasn't too bad.

This movie was just great! Jonathan Brandis was a great actor and will be sadly missed by all of his friends and fans... This movie was about an teenage boy with asthma always getting into trouble because of his vivid fantasies and daydreams of Chuck Norris teaming up with him to rescue his teacher. In order to help the boy (Jonathan Brandis) overcome his daydreaming and his asthma, his teacher's restaurant owning uncle takes the boy under his wing to teach him healing and strengthening techniques. He does so well that the uncle signs him into a martial arts competition. As a surprise, the mentor sees Chuck Norris at the competition and Chuck Norris introduces himself to the boy.In the end he teams up with his the boy to compete in the martial arts competition. A Great Film!

The great thing about this film, and yes it is indeed a great thing, is that it knows it is corny. It is well-cast, and it maintains a great sense of humor throughout the story. As far as Barry's dreams being too violent for a kid to be having, are you joking?!? Our society today is becoming so numb to violence, and often it film it is gratuitous. But in this film it's more slap stick humor than anything else. You can't compare this to any other Chuck Norris film. It is a genre all it's own. I saw this film as a kid and recently it was on Encore and I watched it again and had a great time. Taken for what it's worth, this film will make you do a happy dance.

Could be the most amazing movie I have ever seen. Period. The acting is incredible, especially by Jonathon Brandis (plays Barry). The day dreaming sequences are great. The movie is one big action movie cliché and I love every bit of it. It goes along with the whole early 90's obsession with corny ninja movies. It rules. I'm starting a new religion known as Sidekickianity. Another factor I took into account when rating the greatness of this movie was the attractiveness of Barry's teacher/father's love interest. Winnie Cooper is also in the movie and she rules in general. Done. Look, I guess IMDb makes you have a certain amount of lines on these posts and I apparently have not fulfilled the minimum number of lines so I'm writing this to fill up space. I don't have too much else to say about this movie, you will just have to watch it in its glory for yourself.
