Five 2nd-grade kids who don't follow strict rules by their school principal Brinway are dubbed "Stinkers" by him. On the class visit to an aquarium the Stinkers decide that a sea lion called Slappy doesn't feel too good there, "free" him, and plant him into Brinway's hot-tub.

Did you people see the same film I saw?

It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

OK,this movie was total crap.the plot was stupid, the actors sucked, the cheesy action sequences were totally unrealistic, and the ending was total bull.WHO SERIOUSLY CAME UP WITH THIS STORY?!I'm a great believer in make believe and fantasy, but this was one of the dumbest and most unrealistic movies i have ever watched.seriously i cant believe i sat on my butt for an hour and thirty minutes watching a stupid and cheap movie like this.i believe this movie is totally unforgettable and a waste of anyones time.i could even make a home video more clever than this garbage!do not watch this movie!!!! it's a waste of everyone's time, including mine!!!!!!

31/100. I realize it is a family oriented film, but that doesn't mean children don't have brains. It is needlessly inane, with that gross humor they so often put in films of this kind. (throwing up, farting etc.) It is a waste for everyone involved in the movie. The silly plot is just so far out there it makes you wonder what nitwit thought up something like this. With the poor grammar the children use, their misbehaving antics and their relentless defiance of authority, I hope most parents skip this one for their kids. There are so many creative and worthy family movies out there that are so much better than this. The quality of the movie is also well below par.

Slappy and the Stinkers is one of my 10 favorite all-time movies. My grandchildren and I have watched it over and over. In these days of sex, violence and objectionable language, it is so refreshing to find a movie that one can feel comfortable sharing with others, especially children. Slappy is a delightful and funny seal, being hidden (and disguised) by a group of youngsters, trying to protect him from those who would do him harm. A strict and unfeeling school master, along with gardener (Branson Pinchot) add to the enjoyment. Watch as once again good triumphs over evil! Clean, wholesome and upbeat comedy, a good addition to one's video library.

I watched this movie four times already and counting when I babysit a little guy and I actually thought this was quite good, it was not perfect but it did have a lot of good scenes. However, the only good actors in that movie were B.D. Wong and Scarlett Pommers.
