Really Surprised!
Excellent, a Must See
if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

View MoreStupid teens decide to have a party and a killer with a drill decides to be the party pooper. Get the picture?I hated this sequel! Hated it with a passion. Come to think of it, I hate the first one and this one. The only movie I enjoyed was the campy second sequel. At least that movie knew what it was, and decided to be fun. This movie has none of that! This movie was so boring that I was doing other things at the same time. It goes back to the roots of the first movie, and is deadly serious a lot of the time, possessing none of the cheesiness that I loved from the second movie. This movie is really lazy and dated. At this time, slashers were slowly but surely starting to become less and less popular. This movie is an example why! Even though it's filled with gratuitous nudity and sex, there is no suspense what so ever. I love Nudity as much as the next guy, but it doesn't matter if there is no fun to be had. The violence level is fairly high. There are a lot of drills through chests that are pretty bloody. Another problem I had with this movie is the stupidity of some of the characters. One girl is being stalked by the killer and has a huge chance to survive! In lieu of trying to survive, she yells "F**** You!" and inexplicably hurls herself through a glass window, basically letting herself get killed (!) It doesn't help that the killer is a snivelling little wimp. I'm not even gonna mention the acting! They're all terrible! Sounding like they were reading lines off a cue card. The first movie has a cult following (Why I don't know!) and the second movie is lots of cheesy fun! I would avoid this sequel like Ebola and watch the first two! I think the first sucks, but others obviously feel differently.DUD
View MoreI just have to start by stating that "Slumber Party Massacre III" is a genuine masterpiece compared to the previous second installment. That might not mean a whole lot, because part 2 was an incredibly retarded stinker, but – honestly – how often does it happen that a second sequel is better than the first and even on par with the overall quality level of the original film? Moreover, this is actually a more than adequate slasher entry in general and that's particularly remarkable because it was made in the year 1990 when the glorious heydays of the sub genre were already long gone. The biggest accomplishment of director Sally Mattison and writer Catherine Cyrian (this franchise is entirely owned by females) is that they abandon all the imbecilic comedy aspects and supernatural undertones of the previous film and go straight for old-fashioned and unpretentious slasher amusement. Naturally this implies that the plot is highly derivative and the main characters are bland stereotypes, but at least it also means there's a fair portion of suspense, extreme bloodshed, an enormous body count, cheesy dialogs and delightfully gratuitous nudity (although, sadly, statistically speaking only a small number of girls go topless). During an afternoon of beach-volleying, a circle of girlfriends decide to throw a slumber party at Jackie's place; since her parents are away on vacation and the house will be sold soon anyways. Their sex-obsessed prankster boyfriends show up as well, of course, but also a couple of uninvited weirdos of which one is a deranged psychopath with a power drill! What I really appreciated about "Slumber Party Massacre III" is that truly ALL the glorious slasher clichés make their comeback. The plot admirably introduces a couple of suspicious characters that obviously aren't the killer, there's variety in the murders (not exclusively the drilling tool, but for example also a cool electrocution and a great moment involving a "house for sale" sign) and the real culprit eventually has a familiar face and silly reasons for committing the vile acts. Oh heck, the girls even stupidly hide in the house even though they have plenty of opportunities to flee, or stand around motionless and watch while the killer attacks a new victim instead of helping her. Good times! Bring on the beer and the pizza!
View MoreDirector Sally Mattison and screenwriter Catherine Cyran eschew the usual playful humor that distinguished the first two immensely enjoyable films in this series in favor of a much darker, more harsh, and unpleasant approach to relating the standard story of an all-girls slumber party that's savagely crashed by a vicious killer brandishing an enormous power drill. The violence this time is extremely gory and sadistic, with the killer's distaff victims getting offed in assorted grisly and appalling ways (an electrocution by vibrator rates as the definite alarming highlight). The handsome and outwardly charming Brittain Frye makes for an unusual and interesting choice as the murderous Ken, who's the angry and unstable victim of sexual abuse by his police officer uncle. The gals are spunky and attractive, with stand-out contributions from Keely Christian as the cute and appealing Jackie Cassidy, the adorable Hope Marie Carlton as the cheery Janine, and Maria Ford as the foxy Maria, who sports a massive hairdo and bares her breasts prior to suffering a brutal and disturbing near rape by Ken and then meeting an especially gruesome untimely end. Moreover, the tone is quite grim and mean-spirited, with the deceptively breezy and lighthearted opening giving way to a much more cruel, twisted, and no-holds-barred ferocious sensibility that's anything but silly or inoffensive. It's this latter take-no-prisoners gritty and unflinching edge that in turn makes this slice'n'dice outing a movie that's deserving of greater respect and appraisal for boldly breaking away from the generally inane and innocuous mindset that was the prevalent attitude of the series prior to this last, most serious, and truly upsetting installment.
View More~Spoiler~ Slumber Party Massacre 3 is possibly the most predictable movie ever made. This thing held absolutely no surprise for me. It has a lot of mis-direction for no reason. It looks as though they were trying to make a whodunit but you know who the killer is if you look at the back of the box. Absolutely ridiculous! Speaking of the back of the box, there are three pictures that are not in the movie. Never does the "driller killer" use a hook, yet on the back of the box he's killing two different females with one. There is also a ton of filler material to make it a feature length film and the three main guys all could be famous look-a-likes: Richard Grieco, Patrick Dempsey, and Lavar Burton. The flick is majorly lacking a complete story. Ken's (the killer) uncle killed himself, but why he did it is never explained. Why he is killing the girls is never explained, although the main girl's father is a lawyer and that may have something to do with it. I'm completely reading into that one because the movie never refers to that. Also, Ken acts really weird when any of the girls go for his package. Could his uncle have molested him? I'm also reaching there because it's never explained. Funny scenes include the many opportunities they pass up to kill Ken, death by dildo, and one guy dies from getting hit in face. The topper is one scene where Ken is distracted with one girl for 10 minutes and the other girls are just standing around. No one helps out, no one tries to escape, it's hysterical. Typical slasher junk. If you think the first two Slumber Party Massacre's were bad, you ain't seen nothing yet.
