Truly Dreadful Film

Winifred

The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

I must say, after so many years the memory of working as an extra (I was one of the cops and we were paid $50 a day + Burger King for breakfast, lunch and on the last day, dinner. Craft services was a guy with a pen a paper taking orders for whoppers - so much for the glitz and glam) on this film is still as strong as it was nearly 35 years later. That being said and with the acknowledgment that indeed, it was a blast to have had the opportunity to join the fun, it baffles me how anyone can actually consider this B- spaghetti action film one of the funniest flixs ever. At very best it deserves a 3....and I was having a great time. With all due deference to the various wonderful actors who participated - Hill, McHale, Dru, etc., this was not their finest effort. But hey, a payday is a payday in that biz it's tough to be Daniel Day Lewis, or even Billy Bob Thornton for that matter. I did get to have a couple of beers with one of my childhood favorites - Lt. Quentin McHale! Otherwise, please my film loving brethren, reach out and watch more films! Unless you're a real fan of laugh tracks, silly predictable tricks, cumbersome dialog and bad cinematography....try something with a bit more substance.

It's been at least 20 years since I've seen this movie, and I still can't get it out of my head. I just found out that it's being re-released on DVD February 27, 2007! I pre-ordered this on February 1st and can't wait. This movie is everything a cult classic dreams to be - quasi-famous actors, cheesy FX, corny music, and not-your-average plot. This is the type of movie that film was made for. If you're tired of the plastic, bar-coded, multi-million dollar, computer-generated, A-list-stars-competing-for-camera-time, over-marketed blockbuster, then this is your movie. It was made for the average Joe.If you like movies like "Looker", "Beast Master", or "Swamp Thing", then "Super Fuzz" is for you. I'll definitely be having a "Super Fuzz" party when this comes in.

The last time I saw Super Fuzz had to be about 15 years ago. That was probably the 50th time I had seen it. Even though it has been a while since I've seen Super Fuzz, I remember that it was a movie I was fond of and probably will always be fond of. It was about a police officer that acquired super powers by witnessing a nuclear explosion. Sure, it wasn't that original and it was a bit comic bookish, but that is not what made the movie. What made the movie is what he did with his new found super powers that he lost whenever he saw the color red. Oh this movie was hilarious. He did one silly thing after another with his powers all the while he annoyed the heck out of his partner. This was an excellent family movie that was just plain funny. The actors chosen for the main characters were a perfect fit and the story just flowed. I give Super Fuzz high marks, it is a must see.

Worth watching for the dubbing, acting, music, and possibly the most hilarious special effects you will ever see. Is it pure comedy, or is it ALL just terrible? You'll have fun deciding.I especially liked the "underwater" scene where the sweat was beading off Ernest Borgnine's forehead as he floated to the surface with Super Fuzz on the giant bubble. Now that's comedy. Enjoy!
