The story-telling is good with flashbacks. The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

I found this 1996 LMN TV movie about as boring as it was written by Bruce Miller and directed by Jack Bender. Most of this is due to a very inept casting. Tiffani Theissen in the lead goes around with a blank look on her face most of the movie. This is to tell us she's an amnesia victim. However, when the dawn comes and she finds her memory, she still goes around with a blank look on her face. The most inexpressive looking actress I've seen in a long time. The worst scene is when she's sitting in the middle of a fire - with - you guessed it - a blank look on her face. Oh my.Then we have the likes of Amy Yasbeck as the evil sister who overdoes the acting here and plays the role with a hideous mop of hair blowing in the breeze. That's the limit of her depth. A hairdo. Add a rather non exciting performance by David Newsom as the man in the triangle and you have a very dull movie. However, I got a lot of my own desk work done during it only watching it now and then. The only redeeming factor in this horror was A Martinez in a small role. What the heck does the "A" mean in his name? Al? Albert? Alfred? Antonio? Silly. So his presence gives this film a 1 count. Sorry.

This movie was on TV just the other night, and caught my attention by having the Manson song of the same name during the opening. It's actually pretty good, and contains a nice wee twist at the end. The acting is as can be expected of a TV movie, and the script has some nice ideas

Often those TV movies are real s**t but Sweet Dreams is an exception ! It's not great but it's ok and it's fine entertainment. I guess we can't expect much more of a TV-Movie... All actors try their best (though this is often not enough).. The film has it's own style...but however the story isn't really that new !
