The Resurreccion's ancestral mansion is believed to have a portal to the other world. Every quarter of a century, it must be opened by a chosen member of the clan, known as "The One", to enable stranded ghosts to cross over to the afterlife. With no surviving clan member opening the portal in the past 100 years, ghosts have overcrowded the now-abandoned mansion. Hesus Resurreccion is about to find out that he is The One but he is afraid of ghosts. When he inherits the mansion, he wants to sell it immediately but it isn't that easy since people believe the mansion is haunted. He totally freaks out when he learns that the people he sees in the mansion are all ghosts. Hesus has no choice but to fulfill his mission as The One. As he spends more time with the ghosts, he realizes that they are not scary at all and even enjoys their company. In the end Hesus got the key and opened the portal

Why so much hype?

Gripping story with well-crafted characters

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

Oh, what a waste of talent! Vhong Navarro and Toni Gonzaga are so funny, but not in this movie. What a terrible story, and maybe since I don't know Tagalog, the jokes didn't translate well. It seemed to have many big name actors in it, wondering if they knew what they were getting into by being associated with this movie. The only parts that were semi-enjoyable were the slapstick-y bits with just Vhong and Toni. The other stuff was just too wacky and outlandish, getting worse all the way to the end. I was surprised to learn this was a big blockbuster hit in the Philippines, maybe I just don't understand the humor. I wouldn't waste time or money on this one!

This is one of the corniest movie that I have ever watched so far. I thought I would have a good laugh watching the movie because of its very humorous movie trailer, but I was wrong. The story was awful.Vhong Navarro & Toni Gonzaga has undeniable chemistry. I know they are few of the best comedians in the country today but this project didn't show that.Unexpectedly, the movie was a box-office success. I think the trailer was really a big factor in its success. The trailer contains only the parts that are really funny in the film. Plus, the movie's theme song Don Romantiko has mass appeal.

This is a nice movie to watch if the only thing you need to get during a dull weekend is a laugh - and plenty of them. I found the movie highly entertaining and funny, but often too unoriginal for its own good. The laughs come in buckets, but often too predictably. There's not much originality in the movie, and they're the same things we too often see in Pinoy horror flicks that are supposed to be "comedies." As for the "scary stuff," well, there's hardly any. The supposedly scary scenes and characters just are not scary enough to frighten a 10-year-old. But then, this was intended to be a family movie, anyway. However, I would have to admit that this is one of the best comedies I've seen in quite a while.
