Jeffrey 'The Dude' Lebowski, a Los Angeles slacker who only wants to bowl and drink White Russians, is mistaken for another Jeffrey Lebowski, a wheelchair-bound millionaire, and finds himself dragged into a strange series of events involving nihilists, adult film producers, ferrets, errant toes, and large sums of money.

That was an excellent one.

It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.

This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

I saw in the theater the 20 year anniversary showing of this cult classic. The dude is a still an interesting character as he deals with an array of individuals with competing interest. It is a funny and witty tale about finding your way and discovering how you fit in a complex situation. Long live the 'dude'.

This is probably my favorite movie of all time. I can sit on my couch and watch this movie with the beer like talking to an old friend. The comedy is timeless and the characters in this movie are the best I've ever seen. So many great quotes from this movie that only Lebowski lovers will repeat over and over again till the end of time. John Goodman, Jeff Bridges, Steve Buchemi And many more filled the screen in this Coen Masterpiece.

I had the luck of seeing The Big Lebowski during a sneak preview in late March of 1998 here in Belgium. The room was packed, and afterwards applause erupted. The entire audience stayed seated and clapped until the final credits rolled. Since then I've seen it numerous times. I introduced my little brother to it when he was 14, only for it to become one of his favourite movies too. Quotable, quirky, quintessentially Coen. 10 stars!

There are films and then there is The Big Lebowski, the yardstick by which all other films can be measured against. The only movie I would rate 10 out of 10. Enough said.
