This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

The movie was a big FU to comedy central. This show put South park to shame. The point of the movie was how south park seems to get away with gross humor so long as they make a point.Similar to how south park criticizes Family guy for using cutaways.Drawn together criticizes south parks on it's manic pursuit of current events and politics. While most people seem to hate on Simpsons and FG primarily because the shows are popular, south park is often given a free pass even though it's quality has gone down in years.

This movie mostly received negative reviews, but i don't understand why. It was quite funny, though you can't compare it to the series. The series spoofs several other series and movies, while the movie mainly spoofs "Drawn Together" itself. The movie is a bad-taste-comedy, that for sure, and people who only laugh about intelligent humor won't find this film funny. But the fans of DT will know the humor.I know some people think this movie should be rated NC-17, but i think it's an absolute R rating. There is nudity, but it is not represented in a sexual way. And there is sex, but without nudity. This is not a porn movie or something. The violence in this movie is very comical, though bloody, but i think if the movie would have no sexuality and only violence it would have been rated PG-13. There is frequent sexual language and profanity but it is not stronger than in Jay and Silent Bob, which had the R-rating. Actually i think this movie's BBFC rating would be rather 15 than 18.The animation style may is not as good as the series' animation style, but it is not as terrible as anyone says. The plot starts with a very good idea - but it gets really weird and strange around half of the movie.I think the movie is worth watching and i found it good, though i prefer the series.

Only giving it one because I can't give it zero. I enjoyed the series, but this movie is lazy, offensive garbage. Avoid at all costs. The writers have obviously run out of ideas and tried, stupidly, to just be shocking. A miserable fail. The comedy was always derivative, but the writers at least put in some relevant social commentary. I did not expect much character development. I did, at minimum, expect they could deliver some familiar, rehashed jokes. I think they knew that the series would never come back and decided not to put much effort in. Ha ha, killing defenseless animals is fun. Ha ha, sexual self-gratification is fun. It looks like a bunch of 12 year old boys put all their foulest ideas in and someone was dumb enough to make a movie of it.

I was a fan of Drawn Together, so I say this with a heavy heart. This just wasn't funny. I think the fact that they could go all out with profanity and nudity just meant that they figured they didn't need to try as hard on actually trying to be funny. The plot was that the characters figure out that their "reality show" has been canceled since the bad words are no longer bleeped out and their sex organs are no longer pixilated. They also realize that they are bad parodies of real cartoon characters. A shadowy network executive wants them "erased", only to be spared by the producer. They run from a terminator robot ironically named ISRAEL ("ISRAEL has the right to exist!") and run through a series of not really funny gags.A subplot involves a South Park like character that took their time slot, by being just as obscene, but having "a point". (Here's a point. South Park is actually funny! Drawn Together is like a kid who learned a bad word and repeats it until he gets slapped.) The rest is more of the same. Captain Hero has sex with a corpse and Xandir gets jealous. Foxy gets naked. Clara acts all obnoxious (and is apparently killed off in the movie.) I think that the producers perhaps made an unfunny film to stop any clamoring for more. I've had enough.
