When mischievous teenaged cousins Bo and Luke Duke are arrested, both boys are paroled to the care of their Uncle Jesse in Hazzard, sentenced to a summer of hard work. It's not long before the Duke boys learn of Boss Hogg's plans to foreclose on Uncle Jesse's farm. Bad Acting and worse Bad Screenplay

Chirphymium

It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

I mean yeah, it doesn't have what I expect from the TV series that we grown to love and sure that most of the former dukes cast including Bo duke himself John Schneider didn't really like this or the other movie, but it's still good I mean it's pretty obvious they'd start out as moonshiners why do you think the TV's rosco keeps an eye on them in the series and come on all the guys that watched this movie and the seires you got to admit you liked when they uncensored daisy. and come on it's the 21st century what the filmmakers did was what the guys who made the series have been dying to do but can't because the FCC had a tighter stranglehold back then. I've seen this movie I laughed and I liked it. and I bet you guys didn't even watch it you guys just listen to what others said and thought "oh ya he's right I never seen this movie I guess because he's right I should boycott it" if that's true then watch the damn movie before you can criticize it. Oh and just so you know the moon shining business plot is not only true to the TV series but to the movie "Moonrunners". if not for that then there wouldn't be the Good ole boys.

I loved the show and the 2005 movie was alright but this one was pretty freakin' hilarious.I watched it last night and couldn't stop laughing. I'll have to admit, Johnny Knoxville was a hott Luke Duke but Randy Wayne is a hotter one :D. And Jonathan Bennett made a better Bo Duke, even though he was really stupid in this movie. Also, I never thought I'd ever say this, but I liked Jessica Simpson's portrayal of Daisy Duke better. The Deal or no Deal chick was too skinny and she had a really bad fake southern accent. And again, Willie Nelson was pretty funny as Uncle Jesse. Unlinke the last movie, one of my favourite characters in this one was Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, portrayed by the always hilarious Harland Williams. Everything he did was funny and I loved how protective he was over Flash. Boss Hogg was better when played by Burt Reynolds and the guy that played Cooter in this movie was better. Anyways, I still think the series is better than both movies, and the 2005 movie had more of a plot than this one, but this movie was, as I already said, pretty freakin' hilarious. I'd only recommend this movie to people who love to laugh at stupid things and the people who dose't mind if the movie is nothing like the show, or if you haven't seen the show, that's even better.

i was a fan of the TV show.so i thought this might be good. boy was i wrong. i don't remember that they had air-bags in cars in 1979 they did't have hand-held cell phones. so that really did the movie in for me. but the new boys were hot. it was interesting that they explained how they started sliding across the hood. so don't rent or buy this movie, let someone else get the movie then you can watch it. save your money for a really good movie.which this is not movie. go out and get the real dukes of hazzard. not the two rip off ones that was the direct to video or the big Hollywood movie that took they names after the good at the time TV series. more hunting latter
