Let's be realistic.

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

I wanted to like The Green Hornet, but this movie just doesn't work. The film spends so much time being silly that it isn't effective when it tries to be serious. Also, I think they rely too heavily on improvisation in their dialogue and let the characters rant, mumble or argue for too long. It has a few fun parts, but this movie will not be added to my superhero film canon.

The useless son of a recently deceased newspaper owner pairs up with an ingenious and inventive mechanic to form a superhero gang. Disguised as The Green Hornet, he and his sidekick roam the streets of the city fighting crime in their own way thus attracting a lot of attention, especially from the leader of the bad guys.Although it seemed interesting, it soon became a disaster thanks to the main character who doesn't do anything good in this movie but to spoil it. It's a parody from the beginning so expect quite a lot of funny moments but unfortunately that's about it. Too little drama, too little romance, too little everything...except lots and lots of fighting and stupid decisions. I did enjoy though Christoph Waltz's acting, he and a bit from Cameron Diaz, but wasn't enough to do something about the movie.

(59%) Yes it may rattle along at times, and the timing might be a little off, but this really isn't a bad little comedy/action movie. I'm no Seth Rogen fan but he's at least watchable and clearly trying to do his best, while offering some amusing lines along the way. The direction is solid even during the more frantic parts, and yes the plot is nothing that great or anything new, but it's at the very least coherent and something worth getting invested into. Besides Cameron Diaz's character being largely pointless, and the run time being overly long by about 20 or so minutes, this is consistently entertaining and a decent portion better than I first assumed before watching it.

I first saw this movie at my uncle's house and i thought is was good, so now i own the DVD movie and i actually love it. i love the part where Seth Rogen Said's "My coffee taste like S***". And i also love the part later on in the movie when jay Chou said's "I go with you, but i Don't wanna touch you". I think Seth Rogen is a good comedian actor and also think jay Chou is a good actor as well. The whole film is pretty good and the action. I was surprise to see Cameron Diaz in the film playing Seth Rogen's security (something like that). I love this film and will keep it as always. I also think jay Chou is cute in the movie, and i used to have a crush on him but not anymore.I am not a Seth Rogen fan but i have to admit that he is a funny guy.
