Overrated

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.

Excellent story! But it's difficult to tread into the weeds of the plot without unearthing major spoilers. However, a few key words in the title of the film provide an important clue to the secrets of this film: "end of time." Therefore, one can expect a film that deals with the supernatural while challenging the linear notion of time. And this expectation is met – quite brilliantly so! There are clever twists and turns throughout the film, so much so that at times I became lost in the plot. But never mind that – at the film's end I was completely satisfied. Besides, getting lost helps one to identify with the bewildered characters that are forced to confront the startling mysteries within this house – mysteries that are doled out; never allowing an understanding of "the big picture" until all is said and done.

I highly recommend this movie. The overall rating does not do it justice. You will have to watch the movie until the end and it will pay off!!! You will think that you can predict what will happen throughout most of the movie, to find out in the end that you were totally wrong... There is not a lot of horror and there is some suspense. It is more of a SCI-FI movie than a scary movie. It is not rated on IMDb, but I would give it a PG13 rating, only because there is some violence. It is in Spanish, but everyone will enjoy it with subtitles, although Spanish speaking audiences will enjoy it best... Overall, it is one of those one of a kind movies that can be on a genre of its own.

I guessed the film was from Venezuela! It's a minor gem, maybe a cult movie but deserves to be considered in a Year's Ten Best Films. With a twisting time-bending plot quite similar to a Christopher Nolan film, it is in ways superior to most of Nolan's films. For one, despite a small budget and lack of highly experienced actors, it has solid acting and cinematography. Alejandro Hidalgo has to be applauded for how he put this film together and I imagine he will get bigger projects.The film gets a bit lost with its ambitious start in the middle of a crime scene, and hence somewhat confusing at times, a bit melodramatic, and at times a bit flat. However, the last 15- 20 minutes are stellar. As some reviewers suggest, it has heart but it also has intelligence. It's a smart film without special effects. It's not a horror film, despite being marketed as that (perhaps some people didn't see the movie!) but a bit of supernatural-science fiction drama. About love, remembrance…things that transcend time.It is a must see, simply because it shows a minor international director without a budget can produce a film as good as any large production with a top director. A beautiful film, despite its flaws. Sadly it will not get the audience it deserves. My real rating? 7.5-7.7 but I bump it to 8 due to ratings being slightly low. Perhaps some people don't appreciate love and art. And a bit of twist.

This should not be placed in the genre of "Horror." This is a science fiction thriller mystery. While hard sci-fi is based on believable technology, soft sci-fi is based on mysterious elements which focus on other things. Think "2001: A Space Odyssey" vs. "The Time Traveler's Wife." This isn't a good movie "considering it is a product of Venezuela." It is a great watch because it is a well directed, realistically performed entertaining sci-fi short story with no plot holes or loose ends. If you feel there is one, watch it again.Do not go into it expecting a horror film. It's better than that. It's about the mystery of what happens in this house at a time of marital trouble and childhood tragedies. What is it? Why is it there? How is it there? Find out.
