Ed and Susan might seem to be a normal, suburban American couple, but they’ve got a horrifying secret: They create and sell snuff films in their inescapable deathtrap of a home. When Ed decides to create the world’s first ‘triple feature’ – three victims, all killed in one night – the cameras hidden throughout the house capture the evening’s terrible events. As their victims suffer their gruesome fates, Ed and Susan’s relationship begins to unravel, causing their carefully laid plans to spiral into bloody chaos that will change their lives forever.

Intense, gripping, stylish and poignant

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

What can I say? I went into this not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. The actors that play the husband and wife are pricelessly funny and charming. The action, or violence, was...'censored'. By that, I mean that the knife wielding and punching and choking and other acts of violence looked very staged. Though they blurred the 'nudity', they goofed. You could see the flesh-toned underwear the actors were wearing, which completely spoiled the shots. The husband reminded me of a low-rent Christopher Meloni, and the wife was vapid but smart at the same time, almost like a Stepford wife. The extras, who played the victims, were well done, and the story was interesting. All in all, a good view.

OK, so...it's an interesting film. The actors that play the couple are pretty good, they definitely appear eccentric. My gripe with this film and why it gets a low score is the god damned garbled 10 times louder junk sound that plays when a specific camera is on.The film claims to be a film edited together from a bunch of found footage by an actual film maker so it just really grates on me that this supposed film maker would just leave this ridiculously way way louder noise in, like, he wouldn't turn the noise down or just cut the noise out because you literally can't hear ANYTHING that isn't this garbled noise. I am aware that this isn't a true story and that it's meant to feel like found footage but just.. WHY?!

This movie is unique in the way it is filmed. If you are squeamish or have a weak stomach, don't watch it. This movie is in the top ten of the most sickening movies I have ever seen. If you like gore, torture, murder, and blood, this movie is for you. I love scary, gore type movies but, this is hard to watch. I gave it a 7 out of ten just because, the way the plot and filming are. I've never seen anything close to this. I'm sick of all the "Blair witch" type movies where, a group of people film a haunted asylum, and get picked off one by one while filming it. This will blow your mind. You must have a hard, strong stomach to watch this. Good luck.

A perverted couple try to produce their nightmare home-movie, featuring the murder of three lost souls.Wow. Far from perfect, but the degree of perversion is extreme. The couple are well played, but it would have been better if the actors learned their lines then ditched the script and riffed off each other - instead the characters are intimate but a bit stilted, and I guess having the writer/director in the lead role broke the rhythm. Script-wise, the end is nice and ambiguous, but the emphasis should have stayed with the couple to round out their story. There is a huge mistake in the coyness over sex - some directness was needed - even one intense scene would have done the job. And some opportunities for disturbing gore were turned down. So another barrier for the audience. I guess that's why so few horror fans took notice. This is a POV cam film (not much shaky stuff) so bear that in mind. Editing is good, pace good, and it crosses the line in a brisk 73 mins. Mood claustrophobic, music is barely noticeable, sound mostly natural, but maybe too much scratchy interference in the effort to create unsettling atmosphere.Overall, a weird and interesting exploitation film that held itself back for no good reason.
