Wonderfully offbeat film!

Great visuals, story delivers no surprises

It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

If you can get away with scientifically inaccurate movies with ridiculous plots, and enjoy a cinematic experience of good CGI and over-the-top action, this is your movie. Forget all those critics who would like all Hollywood movies to be like Gone With The Wind or Amélie and just enjoy this disaster movie.Also, acting is good and plot makes even more sense than other movies like 2012 or Geostorm. I guess it got bad reviews because, as it uses to be, cast has no well-known actors in it.If you like movies like Volcano, The Day After Tomorrow, Deep Impact, San Andreas or The Towering Inferno, you will like this flick.

The Hurricane Heist Directed by Rob Cohen and Written by Scott Windhauser and Jeff Dixon blew me away. This 2018 action/adventure film is a pleasant surprise. 600 million dollars has just been delivered to the local treasury facility in the rural town of New Hope, Ala. What was supposed to be a routine delivery has been breached by an impending Cat 5 Hurricane and a blood crazed team of 30 Mercenaries, stopping at nothing to get this money. They armed and dangerous and ruthless. This movie is so much fun cause you have a cross of genres. You have the action shoot em up, the hurricane and stuntman chases and explosions. The movie has it all and is well balanced. I feel it has a well written script that draws you in front m the first frame to the end. The hurricane is a back drop but plays such an important role and is done as to not overshadow the action and conflicts that are unfolding. When you have a CGI Fx movie you don't want to overshadow the story of characters. Everything is balanced the make a enjoyable movie. Rob Cohen was a good choice. He knows action and story. He tells the movie and films it well. Thanks to a very plotted out equal mix of action and story from writers Scott Windhauser and Jeff Dixon. It's so hard to make a mix of action and a story that you really care for. Well everyone involved from cast to crew get a thumbs up and really make an enjoyable movie. Set up that back yard screen and pop that corn. This is the perfect summertime escape film. You will have a great time and say wow they still make movies that make you get up an cheer!

I was siding with the hurricane...actually felt pity for it appearing in such a disastrous movie :( My dog who happened to be watching with me was crying all the time !! Unfortunately IMDB does not provide for half star ratings :(

Please do not watch this film, for your sake, not mine. The amount of logic in this film is appalling and has made me lose all faith in humanity. If you watch this film you are wasting your time. I only watched it because it was the only 12 rated film to watch with my family that I hadn't already. That was 1 hour and 40 minutes of my lie that I will never get back, sadly.
