Why so much hype?

Just perfect...

Sammy-Jo Cervantes

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows

Before the boards were shut down there was a lot of debate regarding this movie as most who have seen it I personally think didn't understand who was the test subject. The premise is that this movie is based on project MKUltra and to test the human mind to see if it will be passive to what is actually going on in and around the characters environment. The movie need a directors commentary to substantiate or debunk my theory on this, as I have been on record before the movie is about Miss Reilly.

This is not a slasher/ hacker movie, this is much more a physiological thriller delving into humanities ability to survive. The plot gets going quickly. The 'main' character is a woman watching as small group of people arrive in a room. They think they are there for a questionnaire, a few medical tests and a few bucks, but not so.The movie progresses quickly, but does leave the audience with some glaring questions here or there. These take a bit of a leap of faith to get around, but the speed and overall enjoyment of the movie caused me to over look them for the most part. The movie does a good job of building tension, but we are introduced to a major piece of 'logic' for the Killing Room moments before the climax - maybe a bit of an easy way out there. The acting is solid. The cast is largely recognizable faces, lead by a surprising addition of Nick Cannon who does a fine job.Overall I enjoyed this movie because I could look beyond its many minor issues and enjoyed the overall premise.

It's the most awful movie I've ever seen, and it has no excuse for this. Gratuitous murders is not something you'll ever see in a movie. Even accidental killings, or somebody trying to escape from a dire situation is excusable, and up to a certain extent acceptable. The single excuse tried by the producers was: "At this moment our enemies have somebody like me and like you doing the same thing right now...". This is very untrue, bringing only prejudice to the US image. First, they don't need to kill random guys only to select a potential human bomb. It's old public information that the terrorists are paying some large amount of money to the human bombs' very poor families, and the human bombs are very ill people in the last stage with cancer, AIDS or leukemia. Thus, the terrorists probably have more requests from the ill & poor people that they can handle: they don't need to kill randomly to select potential human bombs... daaah... It's a stupid, childish idea that only translates into most gratuitous murders seen on the screen. You have 1 from me, just because there is no 0.

This Movie has one Shocking Moment near the beginning and it goes absolutely nowhere from there. Nothing is at all Believable, although it is easy to believe that these types of Off the Books Nazi-Like Experiments are still being conducted even though MK-Ultra was Whistleblown, Congressionally Exposed, and then deemed Shut Down by the CIA. There are two glaring Blights that Perpetuate Modern Films. Mumbling, Muttering, Indecipherable Dialog and The Shaky Camera. This one Suffers from the Former. But that's the least of its Shortfalls. It takes a Fascinating Subject and Dumbs it down to a Horror/Schlock Level. Even at that it Slips, Stumbles, and Falls. The Feeble and Unrealistic Escape Attempts, the Ridiculous Riddles, and the Deer in the Headlights Performance by the Lead Actress are just a few worth mentioning.A Frustratingly Bad Movie that is Mishandled on almost every Level. Flatly Photographed, Shallow and Sophomoric Script, Wooden Acting, and Worst of all it takes a very interesting Subject and makes it Boring. A Misfire of a Magnitude that is Mind-Numbing.
