I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

SUCH a wonderful movie, it's pretty inspiring and you're definitely going to cry (some tears will be happy). Couldn't picture 3 more perfect people to represent the leading ladies. It's hard to explain to other people why they should watch a movie and feel the things that you feel while watching it. But I kind of think that's a lesson from this movie. Feel however you want, do what you want, but "make it matter".

I was pretty surprised, i don't like amanda seyfried (sp) she must have a really good agent because she is ugly and a bad actor, but in this she was pretty good. it's a pretty cliche movie about old hag who is lonely, and becomes nice with the help of nice youngsters. she "sees the light". But it was really cute and touching. I didn't like the soundtrack though. Too boring

This movie was thoughtful, inspiring and spoke volumes of the human condition. The honesty of Miss.Shirley McClain's character was refreshing and strong. The cast was bright and young and the sound track was hip and retro. We don't make mistakes, mistakes make us, fall on your face and fall hard!

Harriet is a retired businesswoman who tries to control everything around her. When she decides to write her own obituary, a young journalist takes up the task of finding out the truth resulting in a life-altering friendship. The Last Word has an interesting cast and 2 very talented actresses Shirley MacLaine and Amanda Seyfried but that isn't enough to satisfy some of the hardest movie fans in the world, the film is very slow paced, the characters are annoying and the acting isn't very good everyone seems bored out of their minds. Plus the story isn't even that interesting to begin with and honestly i feared that the movie was going to be bad but i didn't expected it to be that bad. (0/10)
