Memorable, crazy movie

It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

There is no reason for this low rating! A little of research ( I'll admit it, I wasn't knowledgeable on the Armenian genocide) and after reading about how this movie had been targeted by deniers, I was intrigued! Having watched the movie, I can only quote the great Shakespeare; "Something is rotten in state of Denmark"....scratch that..something is rotten in the state of Turkey! Story short ladies and gentlemen, this movie is both moving...great performances and an important historical depiction, regardless of the deniers (reviewers included) Watch and make up your own minds..we are not gerbils!

The work of Oscar Isaac and Christian Bale alongside their costars shine brilliantly with the grace one would expect them in any film. This is coupled with cinematography that brings the colors of this place and time to an elite level of richness. Despite the efforts of this fantastic team this film's impact was destroyed before it could pick itself up off the ground.Portraying a massacre reminiscient of the Jews own experience, this time the oppressors still live and succeeded in wiping out the story of these people once more. Dominating IMDB's voting system before public release of the film this is a rare treasure few will now be able to find.

This movie was a beautiful love story set within a grim reality of a historic yet horrific event, the Armenian Genocide. The director did a phenomenal job of incorporating specific details of what took place in 1915.
