The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.

I saw the title and a couple of reviews and I was like "yeah, another zombie crap". I mean, really, the name "ReZort" sounds like a bad joke for stupid people. Well, today I was bored, nothing to watch and... boy I was wrong! Movie is far from stupid, far from cheap and for sure far from boring. Yes, there are cliche characters - to be honest each movie have 'em lately. Also since now is mandatory for each movie to force-feed audience with SJW bs, of course there are "strong independent women", unreliable men, and because of that, you pretty much know in advance who's going to be alive at the end.The script is actually well written. There are no plot-holes... well, except one, but we can let it slide because "Archer", ok? Acting is more than decent, characters emotions are believable, and their actions make sense. There is no "let's split to cover more ground" non-sense, or other cringey bs we keep seeing in movies of the same genre. For me it's a 6/10. Would've been more, but if I'd give this movie a 9, then Alien would be a 17, and that's not possible.

After the zombie apocalypse ('The War') killed billions, humanity resurfaced, with only a few remaining zombies left on an island that becomes a shoot-em up zombie theme park, 'The Rezort'.After having been horribly affected by 'The War', our female protagonist goes to the island, hoping to find some kind of catharsis. But of course, we wouldn't have a movie like this if things went all too smoothly. Predictably, there's another zombie outbreak, and our team of "Zafari" goers has to escape the island as soon as possible.THE REZORT is going more for fast-paced action and suspense than gore and horror. It tends to focus on moral issues and the various emotional subplots, but that is precisely where the movie most blatantly fails, mostly because the relatively uninteresting characters are mere caricatures of known stereotypes ("the nerd", "the lone ranger", "the greedy business woman" etc.). and because the acting is not always convincing. However, most disappointingly the action scenes are not shot with a sense of geography, and they are rather hastily edited. That combined with bad CGI makes for an all-in-all mediocre viewing experience. It's a 5 out of 10 for me because it does entertain in the end, but it's a long shot from being a great movie, riddled with flaws on both the story side and the action side.

I do like zombie films & I stumbled across this on Netflix & I had to watch! Shame it never got the publicity it deserves... If you're familiar to the dead island game franchise to me it gives me that feels but you're paying to kill zombies instead... obviously till something went wrong... I highly enjoyed it

The Rezort looks to be a run of the mill, boring Z-day gore fest but it really is so much more.Set after some time after a zombie outbreak, our protagonist is looking for a way to set her ghosts to rest. The unlikely solution is a luxurious stay on an island inhabited with carefully controlled zombie populations. Here, you can kill zombies with a whole host of weapons all in the lap of luxury. Taking her partner, she and a whole host of perhaps clichéd tropes including the lone wolf, teenage gamer lads, and egocentric businessmen find themselves either enjoying some vengeance or trying to come to terms with their new existences. Be warned, Valerie Wilton who is the proprietress of this Zombie Safari tries to be Ice Queen, but can be grating with a lukewarm American accent. I was impressed by the performances of new comers and unknowns as a certain lack of celebrity really lends the 4th wall a thickness. The final twist in the tale is so good that it hits you full in the gut and hits home.Is it too much to hope for a part 2?
