I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
View Morewhat a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
View MoreOne of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
View MoreOne of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
View More"The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic" says already pretty much what this 40-minute documentary here is all about: a making of for the very famous recent Disney movie "Frozen". There are some actually really good parts in here when they really elaborate on how they made this movie and we hear all the wonderful songs from the film as well. Some of the interviewees (like Menzel) offer great insight into their work for this film. However, there are some cringeworthy parts too, such as Lasseter comparing the characters to his son's diabetes and sadly, as much as I love him as a filmmaker, he has some more smh-moments in here. And "Frozen" of course was a huge favorite to win at the Oscars, especially for Best Animated Feature, even if the people we see here want us to believe otherwise. So yeah, all in all an okay documentary and it may get you in the mood to rewatch this animated classic. Thumbs up.
