Excellent but underrated film

Crwthod

A lot more amusing than I thought it would be.

RipDelight

This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.

Transporter 2It's fun with all the clichéd stuffs that an action movie offers but has some unreasonable stunts and a disappointing climax.

Transporter 2 is how a sequel needs to be made more explosions, badass villains and a cool soundtrack especially that Taxi scene with the Cells song from Sin City was out of this world. I think the best villain from the film was the blonde girl although i would love to see more of her and not die in a such stupid way. It has way too much action probably even bigger than the previous film and the best opening scene in a Transporter movie that parking garage scene was out of this world. If you love The Transporter Series and Jason Statham you will not be disappointed it's a straight 10 out of 10 for sure it rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again, we have a Statham movie, where the story isn't the focus and doesn't matter much at all. The allure of this film is the terrific characters created by Luc Besson. The mysterious driver with OCD is back, but is well into his retirement. Instead of helping the bad guys get away, Frank Martin (Statham) is driving rich people around, but he's forced into action when their young son is kidnapped. The story here is somewhat simplistic, but the bad guys are as creative as you will ever see in this type of film. I'm not sure where they found Alessandro Gassman and Amber Valletta, but they were so much fun to watch. He is a self-obsessed drug lord, with ridiculous moves, and big plans, while she is a deadly assassin, whose ability with a gun would put John Wayne and Clint Eastwood to shame. When Statham is added to the mix, you have the perfect formula for one intense movie. Transporter 2 was terrific in that it never stops moving and you will see things you never thought were possible outside of CGI, it was unbelievably entertaining. From the stand point of a film aficionado, while these amazing moves and characters make for a lot of fun, the story and dialogue are severely lacking. This film is not for people looking for a great story or lovable characters, it's made for adrenaline junkies who want to see explosions, long fight scenes, and intense thematic action. If you're all about the action, you won't find much better than this, but if you want there to be some greater purpose, a worth-while cause to fight for, or want to see the world become a better place because of all that happened, you'll be disappointed.

Impossible situations, lots of heavy bullets (that can't penetrate the ...wooden door of a doctor's office though), fires and explosions, "1 guy against 20" fights (guess who wins), car jumps across buildings and of course the caricature of all villains who won't kill the hero immediately but instead he will be extremely talkative and explain to him all the ...plot just to be sure he got it right! Did I miss anything? Ah yes. And a deadly ...virus! So this movie doesn't seek points for its originality. But is it fun? Well...yes. The mindless kind. To start thinking of ...reality and the laws of physics or medicine, it's a waste of time.Still, the -more than obvious- use of green screen and wire work and CGI (not the best out there) is distracting. The movie fails in that department. The script, the direction, the editing and the music, are the kind that you expect in a movie like this.Overall: It is what it is. A lightweight, not-to-be-TAKEN serious action, pop corn movie. (Did you got my "Taken" pun?)
