Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.

A while back I had a really bad copy of this Korean Dino flick on VHS. Some of the Kaiju completist like myself all searched for this film which was made by the same Director as the 2001 Yonggary(Reptilian) and D-War(Dragon War). Over the years it has become more of a lost film. In fact I seriously doubt the copy I bought off of Amazon.com is legit. It is a poor quality DVD which appears like it was sourced from VHS. This film is a low budget film from Korea, bear that in mind. So even though it came out in 1994, it has more of a 60's or 70's feel to it. If you are not a dinosaur or kaiju enthutiast, you'd probably turn it off after 10 minutes. It's cheesy and goes for low brow, slapstick humor including a fart joke. I noticed a lot of clonks on the head with rocks and weapons like in many Hanna Barbera cartoons. You may laugh or you may cringe at the cartoonish over acting and the wide eyed Scooby -Doo facial reactions. Toho allowed some of that in GMK. The plot borrows heavily on other films like '1 Million Years BC' and 'Caveman'. In fact the plot is very simplistic, with absolutely no dialogue. So if you like low budget goofy caveman film with live action dinosaurs, this is a film for you to watch. The film starts out with a caveman clan sacrificing an injured tribe member to a T-Rex who lives in a cave. Later a cave woman angers the leader to the point where he stomps on her and orders her to now be sacrificed. But, she is saved by the main character, a little stubby caveman and they spend most of the film on the lamb from their former tribe. Along the way they encounter bi-pedal rat monsters, a tribe of hairy primitives and they end up becoming part of another more advanced tribe. That other tribe has a Triceratops and its baby as pets and uses bow and arrows as weapons. However the cavewoman is kidnapped by her former tribe and brought back to their leader. It's up to the hero and his new tribesmate to go and bring her back. There is of course a really hot chick in the new tribe. She is later attacked by a Pteranodon and taken away. Yes, she is saved by the main caveman and his archer caveman buddy. Eventually they go to find the kidnapped cavewoman and she too is rescued, but not before the main hero battles the much bigger leader. The big bad guy is eventually killed by 2 arrows to the chest. Sounds familiar, right? How does it end? Well the hero, who's now in charge of the clan, attacks the lair of the T-Rex with fire. When you think he's dead, he comes to their cave to attack. In true hero fashion the T-Rex is lead near a cliff and is tricked into falling over. Caveman rejoice and it's over, right? No, it ends with the T-Rex opening his eye up. The End. Not a bad movie, I wish I had a better copy. I love suitmation and I admit that I like this film. A guilty pleasure, I'd say.

"Claw of Tirano" is a strange, yet very entertaining breed of Kaiju film here. Takes place in a prehistoric world, depicting friendship and hardship between the Prehistoric beasts and Prehistoric man. There were many films by Hollywood, Bollywood and British comapnies that did these type of films, but none could compare to this one.Sure the special effects are your typical "exausted guy in rubber monster suit" and puppet film, but the plot is amazing, consitering that there was only sound effects and animal sounds, NO DIALOGUE! And unlike most western prehistoric movies, the people in this film don't look picture perfect all the time and have weird teeth, since in the old prehistoric days, dentists and make-over places DID NOT EXIST! TAKE NOTE HOLLYWOOD!P.S. Even though this is a family film in Asia, but probably would not be in the West, due to some (brief) partial nudity from the prehistoric girls.
