"U.F.Oh Yeah" is the newest work by renowned short film director Ryan Connolly. It runs for 5 minutes and stars his brother Josh as the only actor in the film. As you may have guessed from the title, it is a mix of comedy and science fiction. A fat guy sees a UFO coming down near his place and he goes to welcome the guys. But the encounter does not go exactly as planned. The film is really about this encounter and the comedic moment there. Without this scene, it probably would not even deserve 4 stars. Unfortunately the production values are low and I am surprised Connolly's films have such a positive reception as I hardly see anything special in them. The biggest problem here is that the makeup work is really not good at all. It's obvious that he is wearing a fat suit and this hurts the film even more as his weight is a core plot point. Not a good outcome. Not recommended.

I've been watching Film Riot since 2009 and it is a joy to see U.FOh Yeah showcase as amongst their best work. The storytelling and cinematography are well crafted and Josh's performance was stellar. Moreover, the lighting and sound were exceptional and the VFX was spot on.Watching a dynamic film within the indie short genre makes me happy to see what talent, dedication and hard work can do. The indie world is giving the studios a run for their money and I see it as a wonderful time to be a filmmaker. For my next film, Josh pack your bags and head out to sunny Cali....I have a role for you!

I've been following the Film Riot team for over 5 years and they have always inspired me to make films. This film here is truly why I love their work. The lighting, cinematography, acting and direction are well executed here. It's a fun story with a great ending. The Film Riot team really pulled out the stops for this one and they were very successful with it.If you need a laugh, this is worth the watch. It's 5 minutes of your life, that you should spend on this little gem. Then go and find their behind-the-scenes they did on this, and see how much effort went into this production. Ryan makes every effort to teach you how everything came into place and show you all the struggles and successes. It's worth 5 minutes of your life, especially if you're a budding filmmaker.Ryan and the Film Riot team, thanks for the great film, my wife and I loved it.

I have been following Film Riot for a few years now and they never fail to amaze me. The wit and humor they come up with makes me laugh for days. This time too i was expecting the same and boy did they deliver. Transforming josh into a fat chubby guy was a killer move. Dint see that coming. The placement of logo, bammie wahm chocolate etc was the cherry on the cake. The ending was hilarious and i wont mention what it was and spoil it as i want people to watch it and find out for themselves. Not just that, the BTS videos shows the great deal of effort they took to make the short film what it is. Do check out that too on FILM RIOT's YouTube channel if you haven't yet.I was actually getting ready to go on a long trip and casually checked youtube for the new videos. That's when i saw the video U.F.Oh Yeah! I almost missed my bus and put my whole trip in jeopardy because i was so engrossed in the video. LOL. It was worth it!Thnx Film Riot for all the videos including this one. It surely is a memorable film that i will surely not forget easily :)
