Such a frustrating disappointment

Perfect cast and a good story

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

I'm interested in how the post Tsuburaya family Tsuburaya Production evolves. Tsuburaya production that's been making Ultraman series for 40 years went bankrupt, and is now under the management of Fields Group. There seems to be a divided camp about the likes and dislikes of the newer Ultraman series. The suit acting did go down a notch or two, and some complaints about the light hearted acting by the principle actors exists. These may be due to the lowered budget these movies are made under that included layoffs of few experienced directors.I think the quality is fine for a budget movie, and the story has new looks and feel to them as well. It's not clear what age group this movie is made for. It contains many teen idols including AKB48, but the movie is not a teen movie. It's not an adult movie, and really isn't a kid movie either.Quality, and the focus that were there for the pre-bankrupt Tsuburaya Production is lacking here, but maybe we're living in a cheaper, faster world now than when this series first started 45 years ago. I'm very happy to see Ultraman still live and kicking. It's almost a national icon of Japan, and his adventures should continue IMHO.
