In November 1981, and with “Under Pressure” topping the charts in the UK, Queen performed a blistering set of hits – including "We Will Rock You" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" – in front of an 18,000-strong crowd at Montreal's Forum, in this stunning concert film.

Stylish but barely mediocre overall

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

Well what can I say ? This film is amazing and Queen is amazing here. The crowd kinda sucks though but it does no detract from the viewing pleasure. And what pleasure it is ! You must , and I repeat must , in this day and age get the Blue-ray. Previous comments before 2007 I guess complained about the poor video quality in the DVD, but the Blue-Ray shows other unsung heroes (at least on the IMDb comments) of this show, and those are the director and also the cinematographer. I really feel that the cinematography here is exceptional, and probably the best one I have yet seen of a live show film. In my view this concert and cinematography are much better than Scorsese's Last Waltz. Freddy just seems so alive and close, and the lighting and colors are as dazzling as the music and performance is. Other people here already commented how good the show is, and Queen are of course legendary, but to this I just have to add - You absolutely must watch this on BlueRay (Or the film theater) otherwise justice would not be done. I give this film a solid 10/10 ....

Queen is my favorite band, and this was an excellent concert. It was charged from the beginning to the end, including a version of Jailhouse Rock that was almost just as good as Elvis Presley's. Freddy's common eccentric and charismatic acting was as evident here as in any performance he gave. At about 2/3 of the way through, there's a drum and guitar solo, so All the members could take a break. But the guitar solo is good (Brian is no Jimi Hendrix or Eric Clapton, but he is still a very skilled guitarist nonetheless), and i thought the drum solo left a touch to be desired (Sorry Roger, i respect you, but it just seemed partially lacking. But he was performing hard throughout the entire concert). This was an early concert of theirs, and i own it on DVD. Well worth the $15 it cost me, but i bought it at Fry's, and they aren't a discount house for movies. If you have never heard of Queen (god forbid... just think of We Are The Champions and We Will Rock You and Bohemian Rhapsody (Wayne's World). That was them), but you like AC/DC or Aerosmith, or heavy metal/classic rock at all, Queen is well worth checking out.P.S. I know this is terribly written, but i'm sick, so don't bother me :p

This is one of Queen's early concerts. They play most of their songs from "Queen" to "The Game." They also add in "Jailhouse Rock" "Under Pressure" and two different versions of "We Will Rock You." This is one to watch, i recommend it.

This is a decent concert performance of Queen while they were still a great band. The material covers all their pre-1981 material, including such classics as "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Tie Your Mother Down". However, the lack of spontaneity and improvision during the songs makes it a bit dull after a while. My rating (7 out of 10)
