Despite the obsessive "hidden history" of the archetype story and the bold controversies that lurk outside of the work, the lackluster production is merely a tedious chronicle of some of Dr.Alan's research achievements, It took away the further comedy and the deeper inquiry, and turned the whole experiment into a mostly repressive and confusing ritual. The three patients are good enough to always be the indispensable leaves in all kinds of productions. When they come together, they provide the film's only visible moments. It's also a refined restatement and collision of the many roles that have dominated their small screen career.

Loneliness is probably the greatest harm to the heart and spirit. Psychiatry and psychology have come along with harm, cruelty and violence. On one hand, although the politicians in this world are becoming more and more unreliable and thinking of destroying the earth and colonizing Mars, on the other hand, many sociologists, doctors and practitioners of all walks of life are still trying to solve the contradictions between people and themselves and others with love and care. It is a light in the darkness to think that after all the pain and hurt of history, there are still people who strive to walk in the direction of truth, goodness and beauty.

So the best way to treat mental illness is not physical shock, excision or drugs, but psychotherapy. Anyone who dares to explore new treatments that do not cause physical or mental damage to the patient should be respected as a true "pioneer." The story of this film does not have too many twists and turns, more rely on the wonderful play of the actors, the three "Christ" performance is not bad, Richard Gere like Andy Lau is a lifetime can not lose his grace.
