Best movie ever!

There are better movies of two hours length. I loved the actress'performance.

A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

Such a refreshing change from the vulgar, brutal and predictable standard cop shows that Hollywood produces. I enjoy the dialogue, the plots, the stunning scenery and the very entertaining characters. I am beginning to understand the accent without reading captions! :-) Makes me wish I could visit NZ. But until then, I look forward to the next series coming to AcornTV.

I too love midsomer murders,but I discovered this show a while ago and think its brilliant,good plots,good ,quirky charactors,its a shame like midsomer,they don't make more each year.you can sit down and watch it in one 2 hour sitting.great stuff.in my opinion bbc and itv in the uk have it all wrong,because the schedules are clogged up with awful soaps nowadays,2 hour programmes don't seem to be able to be fitted in,so you get this terrible planning of programmes split into 1 hour and spread over sometimes weeks before you get a conclusion.anyway back to brokenwood,great show,hope theres many more to come.

Hubby and I love this show! The cast is perfect and the mysteries are enjoyable. It's lighthearted which is something we appreciate. As Americans, we have to turn on the closed captioning to understand everything they say, but that's OK. We love visiting New Zealand by watching the show. Please send more and quickly -- hubby is going through Brokenwood withdrawal!

We have an opportunity to follow the first season (2014 as it seems) on our cable until very recently (i.e. until the beginning of 2017). Finally, a really refreshing, from many aspects, TV series. For one, it is not American, and has the very needed touch of authenticity of New Zealand (language - English, but not British nor American nor Australian); the humor is very much the type universally accepted, the scenery is beautiful and, not the least important - in one way or another the NZ wine can be felt & smelt from the TV screen, for which I am grateful. Also, the idea of the old guy proving to be the boss (although initially looked upon by younger generation as some fosil instinct spieces) for real + music + old timer he drives = fantastic! And the most of all, we finally see something of New Zelands production on our screens. Marvelous! Keep on! Greetings from down under from your point of view!
