I gave this film a 9 out of 10, because it was exactly what I expected it to be.
View MoreOne of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
View MoreThis in my opinion is BY FAR the best current tv show out there. It grips you with so much suspense that it makes it hard to breathe. The acting all around is top notch. So far, the plot has not let me down at all. It seems to keep going in a intriguing direction. I hope it continues for years to come.
View MoreI enjoyed this show for a while. In fact I told all my friends to check it out... But then in season 3 it seems like there is a gay sex scene in every episode. I get it.. you have to include all crowds, but in every episode?!?! After episode 3.8, I gave this show up... enough gay sex for me thanks.
View MoreEllen Barkin deserves an Emmy and Golden Globe award for her performance as Janine "Smurf" Codey, the matriarch of a Southern California family. When her grandson, Joshua, loses his mother to a drug overdose, the family steps in. Based on the Australian film, the series takes place in Southern California. The story is loosely based on an actual family in Melbourne, Australia. The real matriarch is far more terrifying than Smurf could ever bee. Smurf's sons and grandson have a family business which includes laundering and robbing businesses. The law enforcement are out to get them which anybody could understand. It is very hard to feel sympathy for the Codeys though. They are not a sympathetic bunch at all. The real Codeys were even worse. The series is entertaining though with the addition of Dennis Leary as the long lost father. The sex scenes with Deran are a bit too much. They look like they're wrestling or fighting each other though.
View MoreThe creators of the show turned this from a phenomenal show into a good show by their actions in episode one of the third season. By doing this it really weaken the show mightily because the show is structured around the six main characters. And when you subtract one of the six main characters from the story it leaves it totally incomplete and unfulfilling. Now, because the changing of the story line there is a lot of issues that are going to be unresolved.I was so fired up to have the third season kickoff and when I saw the first episode of the third season it took the wind out of my sail, it was a really punch in the gut feeling my enthusiasm for the show just totally left me I totally feel indifferent from the show now.I think with this move it's really going to hurt the viewership and this once promising show looked like it had longevity by its side now looks like the end could be nearer sooner than you think. Thanks for ruining a phenomenal show. We'll always have the first two seasons thank God for that! You go Baz. Baz kicks ass!
