Bent Audience Reviews

SnoReptilePlenty Memorable, crazy movie
Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
Borgarkeri A bit overrated, but still an amazing film
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
eighttrackstar Im a remodeling contractor stuck in Michigan for 20 years, my soul is supposed to be in Cali. what a dream this show was for me. Ocean air, remodeling awesome homes, snap my chalk line and hotties come running. The battling with the lesbian contractor was funny , there are so many funny things about construction, if producers hire detectives and doctors to consult on script writing y couldn't they hire contractors for consultants? a real good construction comedy could go on for a long time. this show even had a big named actressAnd the cast was good.Is it 10 lines yet?
crazyladymaddox I absolutely love this show! Lots of quick wit and very funny! It's at a hard time to watch so I DVR it and catch up on it later. I think if it was at a better time it would be watched by so many more people. I really hope it makes it through all the cuts! The dynamic between the two leads is spot on. All the supporting characters just hammer it home. This is one of the shows I look forward to watching each week. There is enough side stories going on in it to keep it fresh. Such as the lovable crazy old dad and the construction workers. If it makes it through to future seasons I can't wait to see what comes once they're done working on this main house! Keeping my fingers crossed!
keithhasthecar UPDATE 4/7/12: So, all 6 episodes of Bent that currently exist have aired. If "Tile Date" doesn't convince NBC that this show deserves to live, they really do have no idea what they're doing. A-OLDER:We're only 4 episodes into Bent, with only 2 left to air. It's likely that this show will be canceled after these 6 episodes air, given the lack of promotion and terrible ratings. Which is unfortunate, because this show is actually more than decent, particularly the third episode "HD". It's clear this show knows what it's doing, and there isn't a weak link in the cast. You probably won't laugh out loud much watching "Bent". But unlike the similarly low-guffaw "Up All Night", this show actually has good writing, and charming, nuanced acting all around, neither of which feel desperate for laughs in the slightest. It's this low-key charm that makes the show much more entertaining than expected. B+
bhanubaxla This show is definitely looking very promising with actors like Amanda Peet(whom i totally loved in "A lot like love" & "Somethings gotta give"), Jeffrey Tambor(Arrested development), David Walton and Jesse Plemons(a big fan of "Friday night lights"). I loved the Pilot and the episode that followed and hope that it keeps getting better. The script is well written and the actors are up to the job. There are few lovely kind of romantic and comic moments which makes this show special. Can only wish for this show to be widely appreciated and watched cuz it deserves it. Would love to see more than 6 episodes which is not enough to develop the storyline.
