The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

This show almost gave me a headache and I had to stop watching it 'cause I didn't know whether I wanted the main girl to be with the main guy or the support character lol.

When a fellow anime lover suggested I watch some K-drama, I was reluctant. Simply because I'm not fond of subtitles. I usually don't even watch an anime until it's dubbed in English. However, once I watched the first episode and got locked into the storyline, the subtitles didn't bother me in the slightest.High school student, Geum Jan Di gets an offer to attend an exclusive academy—Shinhwa High after she saves a student from committing suicide. During her first day of school, she runs into F4—a group of super cute, privileged, arrogant boys. Goo Joon Pyo, the leader of the F4 pack pretty much runs the school. His best friends, who are also members of the notorious group, Yoon Ji Hoo, So Yi Jung and Song Woo Bin, are basically the academy's princes. They are all feared by their students and even the teachers. Jan Di has a run-in Joon Pyo, where she berates him with a few choice words and a roundhouse kick to the face for his bold rudeness. After that, she finds out firsthand what happens when you cross F4; she becomes the victim of school bullying. But in an interesting turn of events, Joon Pyo falls for Jan Di. However, she only has eyes for Ji Hoo, Joon Pyo's best friend. And the love triangle begins. I enjoyed every part of this series. In the beginning, I was rooting for Ji Hoo, then later, I found myself rooting for Joon Pyo, which is amusing 'cause I couldn't stand him at first. I finished this series (25 episodes) in 5 days. My only gripe is I feel like Song Woo Bin was left out in the rain when it came to character development. We were shown the back story of all the main characters. Yet, he was the only one who wasn't expanded on when it came to the storyline. Nevertheless, I was thoroughly entertained. I agree with the 5 stars on Netflix because the series was well worth my time.

terrific performance by the lead actress. A reviewer on DVD beaver said she was a cross between Stan laurel, and Guelita Masina. She does smile like Stan Laurel okay. Not too many scenes that brought a tear. I smiled more and cried. The level of violence in it caught me by surprise. Maybe it was the title that threw me. But then again I should have been prepared, when the series starts with an attempted suicide. I would describe as as a show about love, friendship, and the possible sacrifice of one's own happiness for a friends. There is friendship between women, friendship between men, even if it sometimes leads to jealousy and violence, and friendship between mem and women ie f4 and Jan Di. Overall it;'s a series I admired more than liked, particularly for the lead actress. The rest of the cast are OK, but no real standouts acting wise. I do wonder why only 3 of the f4 members were given decent story lines. Perhaps in the Japanese and/or korean version, we get to find out more about the gangsters son.

THE KEWLEST SHOW ON KOREAN TV!!! I'm American, tho... They should remake it English style! That would be fun! I don't mind reading the subtitles, though. This is a fun show and Jan Di is just plain adorable :P I don't like her eating habits, though. Cramming a TON in her mouth at a time! As the amazing Dr. Perry Cox once said, "I'll let you finish that man-size bite before I go any further". I mean SERIOUSLY! That girl needs to at least buy a napkin, tho! Anyhoo, I love this show. It IS very long (I've pulled several all-nighters to watch it) but you won't be disappointed. WATCH IT NOW OR SUFFER MY WRATH!!! I mean it... watch it watch it watch it watch it watch it why? because I said so! This show has well thought out characters and dialog. I DO wish it would be more like the Manga by which it was based off of, though. If you like this, then you'll like anime. My favorite, ohohoh! Try Kodocha. It's cute, comical, AND it's dubbed over in English with none other than Lauren Bailey as the lead, just in case u wanted a recommendation :D
