Nice effects though.
It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.
View MoreThere are better movies of two hours length. I loved the actress'performance.
View MoreI think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
View MoreI am hoping that they do a season 8. We enjoyed this show and hope it's not canceled just so they can air another brainless reality show.
View MoreI really wanted to like this show because I watch British TV and movies much more than I do anything that is written and produced in America. However, this show is so blatantly racist, sexist, and stuck in a colonial system that I just can not bare to watch. Most episodes would be so much better if the bumbling idiot savant DI (played by both Miller and Marshall) was not so condescending and so ill fit for the job. This would normally be the funny and interesting part of the show but I really do not like the character. The underlings, I mean the other officers included the old fart commissioner (people of color), are never able to take a comprehensive look at the evidence and figure out anything while they run around are calling him sir and boss all the damn time. Instead, it is this slovenly ill prepared socially awkward character played by Kris Marshall always so brilliant putting the pieces together while every one stands by in awe (REALLY!) This is the case even though he fails to get anything else in his life correct. I could even deal with the fact that DC Cassell and Bordey are never dressed professional and always have on revealing clothing if I did not feel like they were always kowtowing to this ridiculous white dude that could not cut it in England. I'm just saying!
View MoreIf we could give this a -10, it would be appropriate. We were thoroughly entertained by the first two seasons; the characters were delightful from the beginning, the chemistry was spot on and the 'who-done-its' always kept us guessing. However, the writers destroyed everything good about this series when they killed off DI Richard Poole - they should be fired! What on earth were they thinking! We will not be watching any more episodes and we will be dissuading anyone from getting hooked on this show.
View MoreThis began as a different kind of detective show and was quit enjoyable. Now in its 8th year it is truly on its last legs and needs to be taken out back and humanely put to sleep. The plot is the same every week, they have run out of ideas. All it is now is a way for the BBC to reward it's stars with a free holiday on a sun soaked island. There are some great characters so it is truly a shame to see them trotting out the same awful scripts week after week. PLEASE let it go quietly BBC and spend the money on something more worthwhile!
