Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Let me say this to start. I used to like this show as a kid, but now I absolutely hate this show. I found the story boring and repetitive with the monster of the week formula. I hate the villains because they have no good motivations for their goals. I hate the characters because they are kids. I rather watch anime with teenagers or adults rather than these brats. The protagonists in Hunter x Hunter are way more fleshed out than these kids. The artwork is horrendous. I hate the character designs because they look so god ugly. Go skip this anime and watch better anime like Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal, Lupin III, Fate/Zero, A Certain Scientific Railgun, Marchen Awakens Romance, Detective Conan, After War Gundam X,Ushio to Tora, Hunter x Hunter and Chilvary of a Failed Knight.

It's a damn good anime. The main characters all have certain charm to them and there's never a dull moment in this show. Admittedly the dub is heavily flawed but with that said I still like it (though I would suggest watching the 2 part finale in the original Japanese with subtitles). Also I get sick and tired of all those ****sticks that keep saying it's a Pokemon ripoff but if you actually take the time to watch it, it would clear as day that it is not. Pokemon may have the better games but Digimon is by far the better anime. Anyhow, this show has something for everyone from a great adventure to short yet enjoyable fights to the excellent character development. If you're an anime or mon fan (or both) then watch it, you won't be disappointed.

This anime hides a huge value behind of what it appears to be: a show to sell in the children's market. Indeed, unlike Pokemon and BeyBlade, Digimon presents a surprisingly interesting story, which meets perfectly the dreams of any child (and even of some adults). The heroes of this story do not live a life of futile pokemons capture and collection or fighting to see who has the most powerful spinning-top. Instead, they have a normal life like any ordinary child, but they were chosen to save the Digital World – a parallel world that has resulted from a mysterious expression data. To do so, they will find their digimons, with which they will create an everlasting friendship and that will help them to defeat the Evil that has taken this world. The drawings are extremely beautiful and the plot is unusually interesting, with a brilliant mixture of reality and fantasy. The soundtrack is one of the best ever (if not the best!), presenting themes ranging from well-done Japanese music to very powerful melodies like the Bolero of Ravel. The only flaw of this show is the fact that the story is not always told with the quality that was intended.Children, and anyone who wants to relive the wonders of childhood, will find a fantastic world in this anime to fill their imagination and they will learn or recall important values such as friendship, sincerity, trust in others and hope.Score: 9/10PS: This review only refers to the first season. My ratings for the other seasons are: Season 2 – 6/10; Season 3 – 7/10; Season 4 – 4/10; Season 5 – 4/10. Overall score: 9/10 (watch the first season and ignore the others)

Digimon is such an interesting TV show, in my opinion. I know it is usually quite similar to Pokemon in terms of animal partners fighting alongside them, but unlike Pokemon, the Digimon can turn into one level higher and go back to the way they were before, and in Pokemon they don't do that. Also the Digimon talk in human language while Pokemon just say their name. The kids are sent to the Digital World in every season for one mission: to save the Digital World from evil forces. I have said about the Pokemon similarities but it is not a rip-off of Pokemon, it is an original anime show because of some of the things I explained. Although I lost interest in Pokemon, I still think Digimon is cool.Season reviews:Season 1: Rating: 10/10. Probably the best of the Digimon Seasons as it usually is with TV shows. This is where 7 kids get Digivices and go into a Digital World and meet their partners and later gain crests for their partners to go into the Ultimate level.Season 2: Rating: 9/10. "Season 1, Part 2" is what I think of this season, as it is a continuation of the first one, but set 3 years later. Kari and T.K. are the only two from the original Digi-Destined team to be full-time Digi-Destined members. Digimon now get the power to Armor-Digivolve.Season 3: Rating: 7/10. This is where a new Digimon story begins. Digi-Destined use game cards to help their Digimon partners win battles, and bio-merge with their Digimon to make their partners go into their Mega levels. Not as exciting as the first two seasons, but still good.Season 4: Rating: 4/10. "Digimon mimicing Power Rangers" is what I think of this season. This season reminded me a bit more of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers than the previous three seasons, because of the way the Digi-Destined become Digimon than have partners and some of the events that go through this season. Was it this that caused the downfall of the Digimon franchise? Season 5: Rating: 5/10. Returning to how Digimon should be, but the characters are teens rather than pre-teens and work at an organization. Not as good as most previous seasons, but better than Season 4 Total show rating: 10/10. Good TV show and highly recommended to watch.
