The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

Doug is a show that just screams I don't care. Right down to the writing, characters(skin colors and names), and to just about everything else. How did this possibly get bought by Disney and turning into a motion picture. Even the theme song and score make you want to go out and buy Miley Cyrus' new album for entertainment. Everyone's voice sounds like a nail scratching a chalkboard. Futurama's Billy West even worked on this show. Nothing really even happens in the show. It's mostly just Doug's day dreams that just make a boring situation seem even boring-er. Doug himself isn't that interesting of a character. All the other characters are stupid and messed up.

Eh.... I say this was the bad start of the nerd protagonist, I mean, all this is , is a kid in high school. Nothing much. It would be YEARS before they got the nerd protagonist right, I mean, take a look at Friendship is Magic, and Diary of a Wimpy kid! They get it right! Here, they just made an average life. Friendship is Magic and Diary of wimpy kid made the nerds funny and likable, Doug is just life! I don't want to watch life, I want to LIVE it! Nothing much to say, it's just bland, uninteresting and, as Rainbow Dash, said, NOT COOL! I know some of you are fans of this show, And I don't hate for doing so. But, we have our opinions, and I say, it's bland. P.S. WHY DOES THE TOP TV SHOWS SAYS THAT THIS IS BETTER THAN FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC?!?!?!?

I do like Nickelodean in general, I love Rugrats, Angry Beavers, Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life and Wild Thornberrys(yeah I seem to be in the minority who does love this show), but I dislike shows like ICarly, ChalkZone, Zoey101 and Rocket Power, and Spongebob is nowhere near as good as it was. Doug is by far one of the better Nickelodean shows for many reasons.I for one loved the concept. It was about reality and real people, as others have pointed out, and this worked wonderfully. The animation is excellent, the music is great, the writing is funny and even touching and the stories are simple yet fun. The characters are also very endearing, especially Doug, who is one of the best title characters in any Nickelodean show, and the voice acting is superb.Overall, this is another favourite of mine. I just wish it would be brought back. 10/10 Bethany Cox
