Did you people see the same film I saw?

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

Lo and behold!I am actually writing this review for Fauda-which I began watching on Netflix quite relucatantly with zero expectations because a-the Israeli-Palenstinian conflict is not a premise I closely identify with and b-the language is completely alien. Sooner than later, I found myself holistically invested in the ingenuous premise and the brilliantly etched characters. At the centre is Doron, an undercover Israeli agent who is prudent and ruthless as a professional, but often bogged down by emotional turmoil. A superhero in the warfront, he is often guided by natural instincts, careless maneuvers and impetuous decision-making reminding us that after all he is a human being with human flaws.The impeccable screenplay concocted by skillful direction makes the experience as close to reality as possible. They never try to be politically correct making it somewhat insolent for the faint-hearted.In fact the brazen tone of the screenplay imparts a documentary style to the entire rendition, which for me serves as a cherry on the cake.As wise men aptly say -"Art has no borders. Art has no language. Art doesn't belong to a single faith.".

Shameful and one sided Disappointed and disgusted

I am American. I am biased. With that out of the way, I wanted to... no, felt that I HAD to write a review about Fauda. Being completely honest with myself, I can't review this show based on "realism" or the whether the portrayal of ideological differences are genuine or not; I'm not exposed to that on a daily basis like those in the Middle East are. What I can review is how this show changed my mind and opinion about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and how it made me feel. I went into this viewing with a prideful appreciation of Israel (I still have one) and expected to see an action-packed thriller about undercover operations. You do get that, don't get me wrong, but that's not the point of the show. What you get from this show is a very poignant lesson about the physical, emotional, spiritual, and ideological toll that is felt in the battle that this show is portraying. You get the sense that what you are viewing is real. The writers do a masterful job of convincing you to sympathize with even the most unwavering of Hamas supporters and warriors and with the Israelis tasked with hunting them down. You get a front row seat to the endless killing that is carried out by both sides for reasons that are not even clear to the triggermen. "An eye for an eye", to what end? There is no Hollywood romance sideplots, no flashy explosions or high speed car chases through oncoming traffic, only death and despair. This show has been incredibly difficult for me to describe to my friends and family, and I can only tell them what it's about and why I believe it's not a biased depiction of the real war going on. But I can't describe how you feel watching this show. It's profound and eye opening. All I know is that we're all human, we all mourn the same way. Whether your Israeli, Palestinians,

I tend to be biased against shows that don't come from countries famous for their production quality. This show just blew my mind and made me realize that I may be missing a lot of epic shows out there like this. If you look hard enough you will still find some bias but you can tell they really tried to keep it down and I appreciate that. There is something for everyone in this show. Action, love , drama thriller and listening to Arabic and Hebrew well spoken is music to the ears. Thanks to the great cast!
