Déjà Vu All Over Again

Nikita is sent back to Section One to destroy a new terrorist threat that only she can deal with which is a summit meeting of representatives from several terrorist groups. She is teamed up with a new level 5 operative, Marco O'Brien. O'Brien was the police officer recruited four years earlier because of a mistake Nikita made, a fact that O'Brien has not forgotten. Jan. 14,2001
A Girl Who Wasn't There

Nikita finds clues about why she was recruited into Section. Is it possible her father was an operative, codenamed Flavius, and that she has a sibling with the initial "M" who is somewhere in the covert world she lives in? Quinn redesigns Birkoff's Artificial Intelligence program to build a holographic replica of Madeline, complete with Madeline's memories and psychological profile. Although Operations is greatly pleased to have Madeline at his side once more, it soon becomes clear that despite it's complex programming, it is just not capable of being Madeline because it doesn't have her instincts.

After the explosion at the house of Nikita's father, Nikita enlists Walter, and then Jason Crawford, to decript its contents. The result; the location of the convelecence home where Michael took Adrian after the "Gelman Process" mess. And this just happens to coincide with Nikita's physical deterioration because of her experience with the "Gelman Process." Has Michael or Nikita's real father given her the information she needs to beat these after effects? Or is Nikita inevitably heading to the same place Adrian ended up, namely the grave? Meanwhile, O'Brien betrays Nikita, by revealing her deteriorating health to Operations, but unsure that O'Brien will be able to resist Nikita's "charms" any more than Michael did. Operations 'shadows' O'Brien with his very own 'pit bull' operative, Golliak. And Section One continues to try and crack "The Collective."

All the World's a Stage

After someone breaches Section and breaks into her room, Nikita is more determined than ever to find out the truth about why she was brought into Section. She arranges to get at Mr. Jones personally by having him go out as "Mick Schtoppel" on a mission against an arms dealer with ties to The Collective, by the name of Massima Valenti. Was Operations telling the truth in "Deja Vu All Over Again" when he told Nikita that "Mr. Jones is not what he appears to be...?" Is Nikita making a big mistake in pushing the issue? Meanwhile, Quinn continues to put the "moves" on Operations, but what is she really up to?

EP5  The Man Behind the Curtain
Feb. 11,2001
The Man Behind the Curtain

Nikita finally comes face to face with her father, the real Mr. Jones, but rather than being an "emotional" reunion, Mr. Jones is all business, and immediately sets Nikita out on a new mission; finding The Collective's "mole" in Section One! Mr. Jones' two candidates: Operations or Marco O'Brien. Mr. Jones thinks it's the latter, but Nikita suspects the former. So Nikita sets out to find the "mole." Meanwhile, the two co-heads of The Collective, Graff and Haled clash over tactics, and whether to trust their "mole's" intel about Section One. Michael finally turns up, but not until the last scene!

EP6  The Evil That Men Do
Feb. 18,2001
The Evil That Men Do

Nikita and Mr. Jones have The Collective's "mole" narrowed down to four suspects: Operations, Quinn, Walter and the late Marco O'Brien, but Mr. Jones has a fifth possibility that Michael Samuelle is still alive, and that he is the "mole." While granting to Mr. Jones the theoretical possibility that Michael may be alive, Nikita denies that he would never be the "mole" for The Collective, Graff and Haled. Meanwhile, Operations sets out personally to see to it that an anti-Collective mission goes according to plan, but it's The Collective that is poised to blow Operations' plane out of the sky! Can and will Nikita save Operations' butt, one last time or should she even bother?

EP7  Let No Man Put Asunder
Feb. 25,2001
Let No Man Put Asunder

The situation is dire as The Collective, still led by Graff and Haled, is cleaning Section's clock. But, just in time, Michael asks Nikita to help him return to Section, where his re-emergence is viewed with suspicion by both Mr. Jones and Operations. While new missions continue against The Collective with Michael's return, Nikita admits that she lied to him in "Four Light Years Further," and that she does indeed love him. Operations discovers that The Collective has infiltrated Section's mainframe to try to locate and kidnap Michael's son Adam, in attempt to re-assert control over him. Can Operations foil The Collective's plans?

EP8  A Time for Every Purpose
Mar. 04,2001
A Time for Every Purpose

Michael's son, Adam is a hostage of The Collective. Michael must save his son in a trade proposed by The Collective. Meanwhile, Haled is confronted by Michael on an offer to get rid of Graff, then leading Haled to become the head employee. Nikita & Michael do so, but this isn't good because Haled isn't alive anymore. This doesn't look too good for Michael. Two new candidates, Myra Mauk & Kelley are hoping for a spot at Section. Walter didn't have the best history with Myra, so he asks Jason Crawford to take her out of the running, he does so. More trades are offered later in the episode. Nikita is now running Section One, she lets Michael go to spend time with his son. Nikita says good-bye to Michael & continues are duties at Section One.

La Femme Nikita Audience Reviews

BroadcastChic Excellent, a Must See
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Delight Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.
dominodepalm First of all, The show's score is top-notch. Sean Callery is a visionary. I fell in love with 'Garbage' 'Hooverphonics' and 'Depeche Mode' 'cause of La Femme Nikita. Not to mention the actors. Peta Wilson and Roy Dupuis exude tremendous chemistry and individual talent.Peta plays the at-first homeless, vulnerable runaway (seen in the movies) but later blossoms into one of the most seasoned assassins of Section One. Shooting bad guys, donning wigs and disguises, getting hitched to a target as an assignment and escaping a rocket launcher through a garbage shaft are but a few of the innumerable stunts pulled by Nikita, a very fatal femme. (including being revealed as a double agent) Michael is the epitome of sangfroid. Cold, ruthless and dually acquiescent yet rebellious to the games and machinations of Operations and Madeline, Roy delivered in every single episode one of the most powerful performances ever seen in TV history and showed how truly versatile he was especially in the episode 'Not Was' when his character, Michael, suffered from temporary amnesia and had to rely on Nikita for help.Michael and Nikita are really convincing as 2 people in love;2 star crossed lovers trying their damnedest to beat the odds of fate a.k.a the section.Alberta Watson is ... phenomenal in her role as master manipulator, Madeline. I looked forward to seeing her in every episode and was saddened by her departure in the fourth season. Her return in the episode 'The Girl Who Wasn't There' was much welcomed. All the actors' performances remain with you long after each episode's conclusion. It has a uniqueness about it that leaves u hungry for more. With episodes like 'Gambit (s1), 'Open Heart' (s2) Hand to Hand(s3) etc., La Femme Nikita will forever be remembered. The action is amazingly choreographed given the show's rather tight budget which makes it all the more unique.Operations portrayed by Eugene Robert Glazer is steely and controls his house by any means necessary.La Femme Nikita is chic, way ahead of its time, endearing, and etches itself into the very depths of your soul; Watching La Femme Nikita is time well spent, honestly.Even in 2014, in my opinion no show has been able to fully grasp its unique intricacy (though a few do come close). It truly is 'The Cure For The Common Show'
Irina "Nikita" (1990) was very interesting. Luc Besson did a great job. "Point of No Return" (1993, American remake) was decent too. "Nikita" (2010-2013) was not my cup of tea. Just my own opinion. This TV series is one of the best TV shows from the 90's. This version of Nikita is my favorite and always will be. Peta Wilson did a wonderfully great job. She was perfect! Roy Dupuis was stunning as Michael Samuelle. The whole cast was impressive - Don Francks as Walter, Matthew Ferguson as Birkoff, Alberta Watson as Madeline, Eugene Robert Glazer as Operations.....they all were amazing!! NO exaggeration here. The story line and pacing were intriguing PLUS many intense/suspense moments. The series keeps getting better with every new season.Brilliant series!!!
Maedhros35 I'm more-or-less forced to watch this horrible show (with daily reruns on the local cable), and and can't see what people like about it. It has no heroes: everyone is a cold-blooded murderer / terrorist. The "counter-terrorism" of Section-One amounts to the same terrorism they say they battle, including wanton torture, executions and kidnapping (everyone in section one is basically kidnapped). Not to mention the fact that the psychopath called Operations pisses of the most deadly secret agents of the company on a daily basis and still seems to get away from it.Add to this the bleary decor, the "whispering" that seems to be meant to indicate threat and the repetitive setup of each episode, and my abjection is complete.
oceanair3 Get ready for a series that is a class act. This is top notch entertainment at it's best. I only hope to see a series as good as this again in my life. Bravo! Roy Dupuis has made his own that which is hidden in the core of all human beings but discernible in few actors to this degree. This man is connected interiorly in a way that makes him beautiful to watch: beauty in motion. Some actors acrobatics of technique without depth, leave me feeling flat and uninspired. They lack a digested understanding of who they are. Roy Dupuis is the antithesis of this. Deeply connected to himself, an almost unspoken spirituality is conveyed through his eyes. Without saying a word this actor has the power to deeply effect you. A humble strength emerges from a deep inner awareness of who he is mixed with a humility that has to be owned before it can be acted. And to the viewer understood before it can be seen. Anyone writing this actor off as not noteworthy is probably also walking by the perfume of roses, saying there is no beauty or heavenly fragrance left anywhere. Roy Dupuis is an enormous boon to the best series I've ever seen in my life. What is so captivating about this show is that it fills that human need to see who we are in the fullness of our humanity when that very thing is stripped of us and not allowed to be. At first glance it may appear all the key players in Section One are ruthless, uncaring human beings. However, the reality is these actors, especially Roy, (because of his choice of characterization) have had to shut down and hide their humanity in order to survive the Section, while still letting us see who they are. Cloaked in his "dark" Euro-slick wardrobe Michael is cool incarnate. How cool? It's never been this cool. There is a reason there is such a demand for this series. When life and death hang in the balance moment by moment, and still you see Michael and Nikita willing to die for each other, you feel your own humanity touched a little, and you want more of this series that takes you a little deeper than the rest of what's on the market for our viewing. Like I said, get ready for a series that is a class act. This is top notch entertainment at it's best. Bravo!
