This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.

It is so daring, it is so ambitious, it is so thrilling and weird and pointed and powerful. I never knew where it was going.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

Love love love this show, the cast are truly an amazing set of actors and actresses and I was surprised to see how young the characters of Kate and Scott Fuller (Madison Davenport and Brandon Soo Hoo) are, as both are extremely talented. The show is not short of eye candy with Seth and Richard Gecko played by D.J. Cotrona and Zane Holtz and of course the beautiful Santánico Pandemonium played by the very talented and sultry Eiza González. The relationship between all the characters is strong, particularly Seth and Richard Gecko, whose brotherly relationship is very relatable. I have not seen the original movies but this has allowed me to watch the show with fresh eyes, not comparing anything back to the original movie(s). The story line is thrilling and over the two seasons you start to see the many layers of each character. The only criticism is at times I felt the story was going too slow especially in season 2, at times it felt as though we were constantly waiting for something to happen. However, cannot fault the writers as the script is truly brilliant, thrilling and at times comedic. A great watch and hope this gets renewed for many seasons to come!

The acting is sub par. The dialogue is like something out of a school play, stilted and tacky Don Johnson must really be in great need of money for saying yes to this crap. The movie it's based on wasn't really that good either, which is probably why George clooney and Tarantino has nothing to do with the sequels. And the first one more or less ended up as a cult movie But this, this is just waste of money. They actors can't act(Aside from Don Johnson and Robert Patrick) They should all go back to acting school. Who on earth green lighted this show for two Seasons,it stinks. I don't mind the slightly gory effects. But the acting make me cringe.where did they find these guys? At a street corner with a sign saying: "Will pretend I can act, for food" by episode 4 there are still hardly any sign of vampires. And the story is jumbled and mostly told on weird incoherent flash backs

Yes it's a remake of the movie & follows the story quite closely with a few additions. The actors all play the parts well and are all believable. I'm 5 episodes in & loving it, it's fast paced- even though you know what's going to happen (if you have seen the movie) it's still keeping my interest and I can't wait to see the next bit. Even though it follows the story of the movie you could still class it as a stand alone piece. You don't need to have seen the movie to watch the show. interesting, no naked women (yet) for the sake of naked women and it's not overly blood thirsty or violent (not that I'm opposed to those things, just a lot of shows go overboard for the sake of it!) This is my new favorite show. Well written, well acted and well executed. Watch it You won't be disappointed.

Upon the release of "From Dusk Till Dawn" in 1996, it spawned 2 sequels. As in most cases the first entry was the best. In fact I loved everything about the first film. From the story to the characters, to the actors portraying the characters, to the script. "From Dusk Till Dawn" was arguably a perfect film. When i heard of the TV series coming in 2014, I was more than excited to see where this will take me. Unfortunately, the series appeared on "El Rey", a new channel that was only on certain cable services. So I had to wait for the DVD. I was very surprised at what i saw. I've heard reviews of people not liking this series (A lot say its not true to the original movie.) But i beg to differ. What it does is it takes a great movie and expands on that concept making it a more creative and fun series. Yes, it differed from the movie. But in it's own right it is an amazing series. I don't think Robert Rodriquez would do anything to hurt his gem of a movie. I think the new cast was near perfectly picked out for the remake-series. As one Dusk fan to another, the bad reviews on here in my opinion, are very misleading. Please watch it for yourself and watch it with a open mind! The 1st season was recently on Netflix to stream. So if you have Netflix streaming, now is the time to use it. "The Gecko Brothers are back!'
