    Very well executed

    TrueHello

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.

I have watched this show for years, Love it, like Sonny, Carly, Michael, Franco, etc. etc., but I can't stand Sam. I'm wish someone would take a big punch at her to shut her bossy mouth. Her character acts like she is a saint, everyone should obey her commands. Anyone talk to me and order me around like she does and they will end up with a bloody mouth. She is a B-----. Otherwise the show is great. Also I hope Jason tells her to get lost.

In 1984, an unknown actor from Texas, Brad Maule, appeared on General Hospital as neurosurgeon Dr. Tony Jones. Originally, he was only supposed to last a year and then be killed off, but thanks to numerous fan mail, the writers spared his life and kept him on for 15 years. Tony Jones had a lot of heartaches and tragedies over the years on GH. He married Tania, only for her to die 6 months after the birth of their only child, B.J. The scene after her death, where he holds his 6-month old daughter, is truly touching. That goes to show the inseparable bond that he shared with his daughter. Then, after he married his second wife, Lucy, he realizes that she was only after his money. At that time, his brother, Frisco, had supposedly died. After Tony divorced Lucy, he became blind due to 2 brain surgeries. He later married Bobbie Spencer, whom his daughter is named after, since she helped Tania deliver the baby. Tony and Bobbie then adopted Lucas. But the biggest tragedy for Tony to overcome was the death of his daughter, B.J., who suffered severe brain damage when her school van turned over. When Tony saw the severity of her injuries, he knew that he had to give B.J.'s heart to her dying cousin, Maxie. At the same time he was still angry over catching Bobbie and Damian kissing in the stairway. The scene where Tony says goodbye to B.J. is a real tearjerker. Brad Maule was nominated for an Emmy nomination for that storyline. I was so angry when he didn't win. He REALLY deserved that award. Bobbie's long lost daughter, Carly, shows up 2 years later, and seduces Tony. After Bobbie catches Tony in bed, she throws him out of the brownstone. Shortly after, Tony visits B.J.'s gravestone, which would have been her tenth birthday on Oct. 6, 1996. It was a very emotional scene from start to finish, where Tony cried about the mess with his and Bobbie's marriage. The most touching scene was where he touched the ground and then lied down right by the grave. That would earn Brad another Emmy nomination in 1997, but unfortunately he didn't win that either. Carly then deceived Tony into thinking he was the father of her unborn child. A few months after Michael was born, Tony then snaps and kidnaps the baby while Carly leaves him unattended in his stroller to take a phone call inside the Port Charles Hotel. After Michael's recovered, and Tony's arrest, Tony was found not guilty by insanity. Carly then shoots Tony in open court. Tony eventually came back after a rehabilitation period. When his son, Lucas, came out and told him that he was gay, Tony was very supportive and told him how proud he was to be his father. Eventually, death found Tony in 2006, when he died of an encephalitis attack in the hospital. Brad Maule is one of soap's MOST underrated actors.

So am I deeply concerned about the future of GH's wonderful and exciting plots! I've been watching this soap opera for nearly one month! General Hospital had its own recommendation in my case and I had it described in the best possible quality. I was considering me joining the show and start belonging to this world, world of GH and its fans. As you can guess,I made up my mind to become a part of GH! And I still do not dare to use any bad or negative word for describing it!First of all,I would like to mention, that this soap opera really makes my every day. It is still alive and active in my dreams, it is inside me, it's a living soul in my heart. Never before have I been so obsessed about any soap opera. General Hospital can boast about its remarkable climate, atmosphere. Every episode starts with jumping from one scene to another. It's really gorgeous. It is some kind of quick skin. You can take pleasure from enjoying 5 or 6 various scenes of sometimes different stories. It makes this soap opera look versatile. It is my impression,my constant impression. What is more, General Hospital has a very fresh stories. It is linked to the world of drama, sensation...it's also stocked with joke, fun, here I have this entire story with Kate Howard and Sonny Corinthos on my mind. Their quarrels, fights and 'arguments presentations' have this power to make viewers laugh loudly in front of their TV's or computers... Furthermore,GH shows totally different characters. We watch characters, that are absolutely opposite to each other. Jerry Jacks/Jax Jacks - Jerry, who was named Craig was torturing 15 people in a hotel, treating them with a little bit of cruelty, with no honour and goodness. Jax is his younger brother, capable of sacrificing his own private life for his bad brother! Jax is the ideal brother,husband,son... Jason - Lucky. Jason is this type of man,who is supportive for women, calm, who usually respects others. Lucky is a volcano! Lucky was abandoned by his own father,Luke Spencer, that's why his behaviour makes others feel very bad for him. Disappearing of Jake let this whole amount of Lucky's anger appear and start making trouble in his life. Lucky, instead of comforting his wife Elizabeth, accused her of turning back on Jake! It made me furious! There are a lot more opposities, but I would like to leave this aspect now.Last events in GH are remarkable! Disappearing of Jake,Sam's secrets, that are coming out,Jax,who is searching for his brother,Luke taking Laura etc.! I'm just after the episode from the 27th of June and I...I am only about to say, that I'm dying to watch the next episode!Cheerz!

I am not one for soap operas, however, General Hospital is different. However dramatic this show gets, I can never get enough of it! It is actually kind of funny how I got started watching it. One time when I was little, my mom was mad at me as I wouldn't calm down or sit still so she made me sit down and read while she watched general hospital. I remember half watching over my book when the show ended, and for some reason, I cared about what happened to Jason, so I made a point to watch it the next day and I have never missed an episode since! This is by far the best show on TV and it comes highly recommended. Hope this helps, Fletcher
