Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

There is just so much to be said about the Movers. Their great music, fantastic show and genuine gratitude toward their fans speaks high volumes. Living in New Orleans I had heard their music and heard of their group even before I had kids and way before they were on Disney. My son and I fell in love with their show when we discovered it on Playhouse Disney. Their story lines and music keep us entertained and I love the fact that they never, ever talk down to their audience of little ones. Too many television shows talk to kids like they are unperceptive and stupid. Not the Movers. We have also had the great honor of attending several of their live shows. Let me just say that I never leave these shows less than amazed... every time. Bringing my son to their concerts, singing and dancing along together will be memories that I will treasure forever. We even have had the pleasure many times of being able to meet with the Movers themselves. Backstage before and after shows and at their VIP after parties. These guys are truly gracious, kind and genuine to all of their fans, young and, well, I won't say old, but "grown-up". They forever have a fan in me, my husband and our son. We love the Movers!

The Imagination Movers is a truly wonderful children's show! The music gets my kids up and dancing every day! Plus, the stories are fun and interesting.....and even a little bit of sneaky education is thrown in! :) They really do get the imagination going! Both of my children "brainstorm" daily for solutions to their problems! Plus, their music is catchy enough that I find myself listening to their CD's in the van when I'm alone! They are a true example of the American dream....they lost pretty much all they had in Katrina and pursued their dream of the Movers as a way to reach children! If you haven't checked out the Movers yet, what are you waiting for??? Season 3 starts on Valentine's Day 2011!

Excellent engaging show with very positive message of not giving up when problems arise but rather persevering till a resolution is reached. Music is creative, catchy and appeals to both kids and adults(rare for kids shows). Not sure about the couple of negative reviews; obviously one of them has issues with urban music stylings and needs to grow beyond the close-minded viewpoint of WASPY 1950s ideals. It was quite evident that the other negative reviewer prefers the corny sucrose-flavoured show pioneered by his/her Aussie neighbours.Long-live the imagination movers show!!!

My little girl is almost two at this time, and she loves singing. She is very interested in learning new words and concepts, too. This show is perfect for her. Its goal is to provide positive male role models on television, as well as to thrill kids with music and action entertainment. It is not as far-out as Captain Kangaroo or as fantasy-filled as Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. It doesn't need to be. It is tailored to suit modern children, kids who need more realistic father figures than what we usually see presented on TV. The Movers don't interact with eight-foot-tall, make-believe dinosaurs, slapstick cats and dogs, or an idiot sponge-person. The puppets on the show are cute and limited to a small amount of screen time. Disney has a hit with this series that seeks to provide a lot of music, a lot of positivity, and a bit of education to boot. It's more grounded in reality than most programs found on children's television these days (for example, "Yo, Gabba Gabba!"), and features a violence-free warehouse in which the Movers can interact with other amusing or pleasant human characters, such as Mr. Knit Knots and Nina. The music featured on the show is strongly reminiscent of '80s and '90s pop rock. I like it, and my wife agrees that the Imagination Movers is just right for our little girl.
