All that we are seeing on the screen is happening with real people, real action sequences in the background, forcing the eye to watch as if we were there.
View MoreEasily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
View MoreMostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.
View MoreThe film may be flawed, but its message is not.
**possible spoilers, but I will try not to.Being a long, LOOOONG time Wonder Woman fan (until the movie came out), I was a DC fan. Then Marvel decided to put all super hero movies to shame (except for Christopher Reeves Superman, which will be forever the best Superman to me) and create The X-Men movies. After seeing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, I switched sides. Since then, Marvel has continued to kick DC's sorry rear, even in the animation department. The Avengers' series of animation has been just like their movies, top notch. With the RIGHT people playing the RIGHT parts (unlike DC), even with the animated series casting for voices. Perfection. This latest Avengers animated series keeps up with the high rated standing and top-notch casting and writing of the Marvel universe.I think probably my two favorite episodes are Dark Avengers and One Little Thing. Two episodes that could easily be fitted to the big screen with the current cast of "real life" Avengers. And I would have to say, I would definitely pay any price to see THESE on the big screen, portrayed by the current "live" cast.Marvel is by far, the best of the best when it comes to what they do. And unlike DC, Marvel obviously listens to its fans and critics alike, in order to find the right people for the right parts, the right voice for the right character, and the write storytellers for the ideas they have to put on screen....whether it be the big screen or the small one. Some of DC's animation cannot be touched, not even by Marvel.......but on the whole, Marvels animation outranks DC's by far, on a wider scale. And Avengers Assemble is probably the best I've seen from either comic universe.
View MoreI really liked this series. It airs on Disney XD but it's a show that's for kids and adults. The joys of an animated series are that you can do anything. No having to worry about actors, story lines that can't be converted to movies or characters that are owned by other studios. There are appearances by The Thing, Spider-Man, and Doctor Doom just to name a few. Having this series also gives us the chance to see more of The Avengers personalities, individually and as part of the team.I also really liked the addition of Falcon to The Avengers team as somewhat of the trainee Avenger in the beginning but definitely proves himself as the series goes on.There is an overall season arc with the Avengers versus Red Skull and other villains but there are some standalone episode stories too. This is an awesome show; one that I could watch again and I will be watching Season 2.
View MoreThere are so many things about this show that frustrate and disappoint me as a Marvel fan. The other user reviewers here have it right in that this show is miles and miles away from how good Earth's Mightiest Heroes was. This show would have been amazing if only they had made an effort to allow the heroes to have their own personalities and unique contributions as in EMH. Not to mention, the voice acting is just awful. I don't blame the voice actors, I'm certain it's the terrible direction they've been given. Iron Man is almost impossible to listen to.THE FOLLOWING IS A MINOR SPOILER, but it references something in one of their episodes which I think just sums the show up in a nice bow:They fight Thanos on the moon and.... nobody is wearing anything to help them breathe. They have equipment on sometimes in space, but nope, the moon is perfect for us... no equipment required. This is a little issue, of course, but this is the kind of effort that has gone into the show. TL/DR: Don't waste your time. If it weren't for the fact that they use some great villains (misuse is a better term) it would have gotten 1 star from me. Just go watch Earth's Mightiest Heroes or Young Justice.
View MoreSo I wanted to get more into the animated Avengers shows, so I finished Earth's Mightiest Heroes. It was easily an 8.5-9/10, with great character development, amazing voice acting, a changing team, and an expanding Marvel universe. I absolutely loved it. I finally finished it, and I found that Avengers Assemble is a newer and more modern version, so I decided to give it a try, hoping that even if the art style is different, it would improve upon the near perfect show that was EMH. I was horribly wrong. This show is so awful honestly. Characters repeatedly pull off feats that normally wouldn't work but only do because of the fact that the writers can't figure out a way to solve the story without some awful plot device. There is next to no character development, only following what the Cinematic Universe has done, and even then what they did with it was unbelievably awful. Characters are extremely generic with no development or consistency to it. Even if the show is meant for younger children, you could watch Earth's Mightiest Heroes as a child and still enjoy it, because it didn't always try to take itself seriously, while Assemble clearly does. The art style might look better, but don't be fooled. Avengers Assemble is by no means an amazing show.
