One of my all time favorites.

    Fresh and Exciting

    Rio Hayward

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

Well, the series is here in India in 2003! And I don't believe it ended after 1 season. It is one of the better ones I have seen in a long time. The story line is interesting, the characterization incredible and the verbal disputes - I love them. Really would have loved if it lasted for more time...

I found this show by accident while watching late night ITV. Always managed to catch the last 5 minutes so never knew what it was or what it was even about. Eventually I found out and now every Thursday evening has the far-too-long gap from the end of decent telly to the beginning of 'Now and Again'. I think it a real shame that the show is not more widely known as it is humorous, thought-provoking and, more importantly, highly entertaining.I'm not going to say the plot would stand up to any scientific or military intelligence standards. I mean, even if you could transplant a brain into an engineered body, would you really use the brain of some joe insurance salesman who happened to 'die' at the right time? I will say that the stories are enjoyable. I particularly loved the 'superhero' episode because of the way that the life of a superhero was deconstructed. Maurice Dwyer, I salute you!Not the cleverest or most plausible of shows but great fun to watch and addictive. Why the show was cancelled after one series leaving the show on a real cliffhanger (albeit one which was painfully obvious from the first episode) is beyond me. Syndicated broadcasting, eh?

I can see why it was cancelled, I mean, it's intelligent, funny and has great characters and dialogue. How dare it!This is a great show that positively demanded a second series but was dropped like a hot cake on a hot day on top of an erupting volcano. I freely admit it could have done with a little more action (which we would've got in the second series) but this is a minor quibble when this show is in the same league as 24 (also starring Haysbert) and The West Wing.More please!

Another thing that helped kill this show (created by Moonlighting creator Glenn Gordon Caron) was audience confusion with ABC's "Once and Again," the fortysomething drama starring Eric Close lookalike Billy Campbell and Sela Ward as divorcees finding love. Somehow that show got more and better press. Yet it, too, fell to the axe a season later. The only thing that kept that show going longer was that the romantic leads actually got between the sheets in the first season. But "Now and Again", IMO, was the better show.
