Horrible, fascist and poorly acted
Absolutely brilliant
One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

I loved this show when it was on the air. I was really upset when it was canceled. I don't understand why reality television has replaced good, quality shows like this one. I agree that there should have been more done to promote this...or at least try it out on a different time slot. I have some of the episodes on video still and I thought it was an excellent idea for a TV show. Unfortunately, the more whitebread version "Seventh Heaven" ended up surviving. Oh well. This helped to launch James Marsden's career, that's for sure. There was a little girl in this show from my hometown. This was one of those gems that should have got an audience but never did. Bring it out on DVD. Fat chance. But worth a try.
View MoreThis was a brilliant tv show. All the episodes were truly interesting. The family felt real, some good issues were talked about. A large one was Teen Parent hood, even though The Parents adopted Ben, you still saw Ricky struggling to do what was right for his son. I think this show could have gone several years why it was canceled with out them trying to promote the show more. I think it would have ended up among family shows like the Walton's, Growing Pains and even the still running 7th heaven. I think a lot of 7th heaven fans would have watched this show as well, they were simlar both had a lot of kids, and was about a family when all the dust is settled at the end. Obvisouly the large difference was that all of the kids the Becketts had were all adopted, excluding the child they would have had if the show had not been canceled. Of Course all the animals also made it exciting. I wish they'd at least bring the 2 season out of DVD. However its fantastic that some of the cast have gone on to do bigger and better Project the biggest probably being James Marsden .
View MoreI loved this show!!! The story was about a couple who had 8 adopted children. With a family that size, I'm sure you can imagine the chaos of the household (think Seventh Heaven or Just the Ten of Us). It had it's funny moments as well as it's serious ones (including teen parents and some of the kids searching for biological parents). On the season finale, Jessie (the mother) was surprised to learn she was pregnant, considering she had been told she would never have children biologically years earlier. The show was not picked up the next season, which really ticked me off. I really think this show would do well in syndication on Fox Family or Pax TV; I would definitely watch it again.
View MoreI think that this show was cool and I wish that they hadn't taken it off the air. It was so sweet the way that Ricky took care of Ben knowing that it was really his son. Just another victim of the ratings war.
