Best movie of this year hands down!

Too much of everything

It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

Ok so I know I'm a few years late to the party...but from the beauty that is HULU i was able to watch Southland on my summer vacation. And all I can say wow...how little respect Hollywood has for the audience. What a great show, amazing actors, seat gripping storylines and it just stops...no rhyme or reason. I'll add it to the list of shows that left way too early and that I still miss; American Dreams (2002) and Jericho (2006)

I actually loved this show, and was SPOILER ALERT!!! 8 YEAR OLD SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!extremely disappointed at it's demise. I recognized Cudlitz from a BTVS ep called "The Zeppo" and was thrilled to see him on TWD but that didn't assuage my sadness over the show being cancelled/self cancelled, whatever.I miss those people.

Officer Ben Sherman (Ben McKenzie) from a rich family is a rookie paired up with training officer John Cooper (Michael Cudlitz) who is secretly a homosexual and dealing with a pain killer addiction. Homicide detective Lydia Adams (Regina King) is a smart independent woman living with her mother. Officer Chickie Brown (Arija Bareikis) suffers from her outrageous partner Dewey Dudek (C. Thomas Howell). Officer Sammy Bryant (Shawn Hatosy) is stressed from his crazed wife Tammi (Emily Bergl).This starts off as a gritty character-driven police drama on NBC. It got sold to TNT in the second season and the show becomes more procedural in later years. It becomes one outrageous police encounter after another. The big takeaway for me is that Ben McKenzie shows that he has a wider range than hinted at in The O.C. I liked him in Junebug but in this one, his character actually grows over the years along with his acting talents.

ATTENTION ALL SOUTHLAND LOVERS: Rumor has it that it might NOT be a 6th season. We all need to band together and go to TNT.com and email them messages asking them NOT to cancel the show. Please take a few minutes to do this, we can't lose SouthLAnd..!!! This show is simply amazing. There is no other show like SouthLAnd on television. This is the only show on TV that I must watch " NO ACCEPTIONS". So please go to TNT.com and submit your request to continue the show. Let them know that you truly love the show and do not want to see it go. TNT has not confirmed nor denied if the rumors are true. Hopefully this will prompt them to let us SouthLAnd fans know what is going on!!
