That was an excellent one.
It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
View MoreAlthough I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
View MoreThis is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
View MoreThis show is the worst! The "psychic" shows absolutely no ability other than the ability to Google and read a script, while the "investigator" was obviously cast for his ability to portray a not-too-intelligent grizzled cop.The "psychic" claims to know nothing about the "cases" but amazingly is able to ferret out specific details.....if she really had this ability she would be world-famous and could collect the myriad of prizes out there offered to anyone who can prove they can actually do this. Also she makes these really bizarre, clenched teeth or clenched jaw expressions that are totally inappropriate...her interactions with "clients" are cringeworthy. They say they don't communicate with each other (in the intro), but they obviously know what each other are going to say or they would disagree on at least ONE point during the series, but they agree on EVERYTHING.Also, she always says "I don't like this", "there is bad energy" "these people are not at rest" "I smell something weird, is that you" and other trite phrases.
View MoreI can't believe this actually went to a number of series. The way Amy describes what happened on the place is so accurate that as if she had actually read the facts. And the way they go with the walk is like every ghost they encounter is malevolent. The way they talk to their client also seems fake. I just can't feel the truthfulness of the show. It's like everything was scripted and Amy was a great medium. So great to the extent of actually feeling the anger of an alive person miles away from her. I had only watch until the second episode of season one when I decided to gave up. What a waste of time. And a waste of bandwidth if I may add.
View MoreI have NEVER seen a tackier paranormal investigation show. What a crock of sh**. Amy Allan should be given an Academy Award for her role as "medium". She must have done some serious acting to convince the producers to include her in the cast. Her and the retired cop ARE SO TACKY. AMY WHY ARE YOU SO TWITCHY. WHY DO YOU PRETEND TO FALL INTO A DEEP POSSESSED TRANCE. WE KNOW You're MAKING IT UP. Everything is extremely scripted. Like they don't even try to make it convincing. Basically, the medium does a walk thru of the property with her camera crew. Pretends to encounter the dead and various other non human evil presences (ex: 7ft tall, long-limbed creatures wearing white masks that want to kill everything). The cop "investigates" the history of the home/property and past inhabitants, Amy has a sketch of what she sees done up, the crew and property owners come together and compare notes that all magically match up perfectly. Just the worst.
View MoreI really like the fact that you learn some history of the location being investigated, and about the people who previously lived at the location. I like Amy, Steve and Matt. They seem down to earth and people you could carry a conversation with easily. I've enjoyed the episodes and Amy has been spot on many times. If there are discrepancies with what she has felt, she is not afraid to discuss them. I find the show relaxing actually. It's like meeting neighbors who just happen to live in a haunted house! A friend of mine used to live in a house on Indian burial grounds and you would hear some strange sounds there. We just got used to it and called the resident spirit "Bob". Luckily nothing bad happened and I guess "Bob" settled in. So, I look forward to the show on Saturdays and just find it a necessary plus to a week!
