It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.
View MoreSimple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
View MoreI enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
View MoreThere's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.
View MoreI thoroughly enjoyed watching this series. A great expose on the intelligence sharing failure on the part of CIA with the FBI - intelligence which could have prevented what is perhaps the largest world terrorist attack, that too on US soil.Bureaucracy kills, and often bureaucrats lose sight of the end goals by focusing on oneupmanship and office politics. And this everywhere. Whether it be the US or India - a more high power distance culture. The series is by one of the best I have ever watched. From the cinematography, screenplay and acting point of view, it was top notch. They did not lose focus, especially when you have so much content to work with! Do watch!
View MoreLast episode was great . I just wanted to comment on agent Ali Sofan's conversation or interrogation for Al-Qaeda member in the last episode after Sept. 11th attacks took place . Jihadist are not that naive nor that easy to persuade that they are mistakenly understanding Qur'an & Hadeeth even when debating with another Muslim . They are extremely stubborn & they never admit guilt or fault .. They always insist that their understanding for the holy book is the right one & that any other Muslim with any other explanation is faithless .. I don't see this in the scene although it was very well acted/performed .Also as an Arab I'd like to say that in general (in the whole series) they had to work more on Arabic script & not just settle for translating what they wrote in English cause it sounds kind of shallow most of the time
View MoreAlthough we all know what happens at the end, this still manages to pile on the tension. Focusing on the CIA/FBI rivalry, it mixes in human interest (John O'Neil's flawed character in particular) with some of the mechanics of what went wrong. And yes, there are genuine "I cannot believe they did that" moments as information is withheld, arguments are had and politics overrides common sense. It is let down a little by a slightly meandering plot and moments where characters behave a little out of line with what you'd expect of them. Overall it's a satisfying mini-series in the docudrama vein.
