    That was an excellent one.

It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.

There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

Going into it knowing that TV (or movies for that matter) will never completely nail military realism, I really liked this show. Right from episode one, I was hooked. Unlike nearly anything in the genre, you can tell that the main actors were actually trained in weapons handling. Their drills - if a bit too stiff, robotic, and lacking in fluidity - were, for the most part, legit, practiced and understood. Moreover, I love that the good guys weren't always "good guys". Anyone who says that any mission can be accomplished by only good deeds is being willfully ignorant - full stop. What knocked my rating down was: 1.) The acting, characters, and overall effort on the "homefront" portion was consistently flat. What made it even worse was that it seemed as though the actors and actresses knew it and couldn't be bothered to put in the effort.2.) It absolutely oozes patriotism. It's an American show about American soldiers, I understand that. Some amount of patriotism should be expected and rightfully so! However there is no need to lay it on as thick as they did.3.) This show repeatedly pushes the religious beliefs of its creators - sometimes in hilariously ridiculous ways (see a previous review about the spear of destiny) and sometimes in offensive ways (the vilification of Kim Brown in "SERE" for being atheist, followed by her seeing the light at the end).4.) Pretty much everything about season 4. Why would you decide to adopt a season-long story arc four seasons in? If it ain't broke, don't fix it! It was like a low action, low story, low nudity version or Strike Back (which, by the way is a superior show in every way).

this is a rare TV show that doesn't come around often many action shows get green lite for a pilot episode than doesn't do well i can only name a handful that are successful like Chuck Noris's (Walker Texas Ranger),JJ Abrams's (Alias),Jerry Bruckhiemer's (csi),and Fox's (24).in 1993 it was walker Texas ranger, in 2000 it was csi,and alias, in 2001 there was 24 it is 2010 and the only;y show still airing that i named is csi all the others have ended or been canceled but i did not mention the unit because until 2 months ago i had never heard of it and i have been watching 24 on fox for years and for some reason i had no memory of seeing any commercials for the unit.so 2 months ago i was shopping in walmart and noticed TV dvds on sale the unit season 1 and 2 was in a double pack for $30 and lost was $22 per season so in the interest of saving money i was getting lost season 1 but then something in my head said get lost later on bluray and buy the unit now so i did when i got home and started watching it i was hooked in the first 5 minutes the action was phenomenal the suspense was refreshing and something TV has been lacking for a long time so in a week i finished both seasons and thought to my self wow can't wait till the fall for the new season so i looked on the internet for the fall season TV schedule and noticed that there was no unit in any of the time slots so i when to the fox web site and found that the unit had been canceled only after 4 seasons i was shocked i thought this show was something special and at least should have been on the air for 4 or 5 more seasons but i guess 4 seasons on DVD will have to do so if you haven seen a episode or maybe missed some i would highly recommend buy all 4 seasons of the unit you won't be2 disappointed so all in all i give it 10 out of 10

I really enjoyed the show until the end of episode 20 when the writers introduced homosexuality into the show in a horrible manner. Completely demeaning our heros of WW2 and in the story demeaning the dead hero's wife. Of course it happened back then no one is saying it did'nt but why did the writers feel a need to rub our faces in it. Why go where every other show on TV has already gone. There is so much to offer the audience so why stoop to that level? Why go out of your way to alienate your audience. Why did they have to take it there? Ruined the show for me and the wife...

A bunch of American soldiers go abroad and take down dictators and other 'bad guys' and then come back home to their wives. It's made for the American audience in my opinion as it justifies the deaths of foreigners because they are threatening the stability of America...I watched the pilot for five minutes and found it entirely unrealistic as they tried to blow a jeep with a rocket launcher...And then the wives come into the plot...crying and worrying....And then the guys come home in time for dinner and then they all go to sleep happy...I mean 24 which I am watching now, is very interesting as it focuses on the characters...But this is utterly garbage and designed to show how great America is...Don't get me wrong, America is great country...but this is kind of too much in your face....Just another mindless action television show.
